I think a lot of fun was had this afternoon (and not just by me!) There's not much better than spending a quiet afternoon with your pups. I have such good dogs. /mush/

Me and my two shadows:

I think they have a 'thing' to see who can walk closest to me at all times. Mia's started to not only walk behind me but tug on my jeans. Weirdo.

These are all out of order. Oh well. We spent 3 hours today at the dried up lake, which has made the lakebed into a nice little beach. 63 and sunny. Wonderful afternoon

.I apologize ahead for the massive overload. I haven't gotten many pics I love lately, but I solved that today! haha

Great pictures, I love the first one! Summer and Mia are a couple of my favourite Papillons. :) I've been trying to get Cali to catch a ball like Mia and although she's tried, I think even her tiny tennis balls are too big, since she was jumping around catching leaves the other day.

I'd gladly swap weather with you, Cali loves the snow (and it gives her massive, long-lasting zoomies) but half the time, she only lasts about five minutes before starting to shiver and although she's content to stay outside, I bring her in.

Great pictures, and I laughed about the comment about walking close to you and Mia tugging on your jeans. She always sounds just like Milo (well...except less aggressive) from your anecdotes, and I stopped him from the jeans-tugging thing early on, but yesterday I was walking across the house and he started walking with me with his head just pushed against my leg

It's a great place to go! Unfortunately for me, they're talking abut refilling the lake soon. Good for all the boaters and people, but not so great for us. So... we're trying to get a fill of running around the lakebed while we can. I think it's the dogs' favorite spot to go. I don't know if it's the wind there, the sand, the birds, the dead fish they've found, or what. They have major zoomies out there.

Mia's pretty new to this jeans tugging thing. I probably shouldn't encourage her but she's really gentle and it's cute. She grabs ahold and I look down and say 'Hey!' then she bounces off looking all pleased with herself. I think it's her way of saying 'I got you!' She's a funny little dog, always trying to mess with you and is so pleased when she makes a 'funny'.

At first I had to bounce the ball for Mia and she'd get it on the rebound. She always fetched from day 1 but catching took a little bit more work. Then after she started getting that, I put a word 'catch' to it then just started tossing it lightly into the air. I don't have to say 'catch' anymore, but I think it helped her initially to know when the ball was coming.

Thank you! Mia loves her running around like a lunatic time. And I enjoy it too, she crashes when we get home.

I'm biased but I think they're pretty little dogs.... even with Mia's new bad haircut.

I love your dogs! And you're making me miss the beach something fierce. The best picture is the shadow one I think.

I didn't even notice Mia's haircut in these lol

Still jealous of all of the red in your area. So pretty! Beautiful pictures, as always. I love seeing your two.

Haha, I noticed the haircut! I think it is harder to see with the wind. I decided not to try to even it out so the left ear fringe is much shorter than the right.

Slowly getting used to it.

I wish we had a real beach to go to. I think they'd love it.

You can take the red clay! It does sometimes make for nice photos but it gets everywhere. If you don't bathe it out of the white part of the dog, it will stain. I know many a border collie that has red feet and belly fur.
