and he got a Total Dog, most likely his URO1 (he scored 91/92/93) and is a competition win away from his Championship; so we had a good time; . . . well; I had a good time; he humoured me for the weekend; so I appreciated him for that!

^^^^^You can see how thrilled he is!

Below is a picture of what he prefers to do at shows >>>>>

It was a wonderful place for a dog show novice (me and Jiggs) to get our feet wet. Very laid back atmosphere akin to the reining horse shows that I attend. Everyone was kind and patient.

I was happy with what Jiggs and I accomplished. I drove the car and unpacked all our stuff; he was his compliant little self and looked pretty at the end of the lead.

I like the Total Dog too; gives incentive to try for both pretty and functional in one show; which to me is more fun than just pretty.

I'm not sure about our next show. There is a conformation show in November; but with Jiggs only needing one more competition win; I'm not in a hurry. His girlfriend arrives Friday; but she'd only be in Novice puppy.

There is an obedience show in April that I'd like to gear both dogs towards; Jiggs to get his UCD and Diamond to get hers as well. The same show offers Rally; so if they weren't ready for formal obed; Rally is an option. I'm not sure Diamond can compete in April; she'll only be 10 mos.; and I am having a hard time getting the UKC rules to load.

We'll probably take the winter off; we have a few big horse shows for the dogs to go to, that oughta round out their event calendars just fine.

Glad Jiggs knows when to behave to get those ribbons but at the same time have lots of fun! Congrats to you both.
