He is listed as a boston terrier mix, and I think that is only because he is black and white. I honestly don't see boston terrier in there. He is very short, I would say he weighs about 25lbs, and he is very muscular. He is super ultra-friendly with everyone and has two applications that were put on him on the same day. I am curious to see what your opinions on his breed mix are.

Wiggly doggy:

He has a long back, kinda dachshund-like:

But from the front, he looks kinda bully-ish:

They're calling him a BT mix so they--and everyone else--can ignore the bull in there . . . and because they have to say something. Other than a strong hunch that there's one of the bull breeds in there (probably a grandparent) I'd say thats an authentic 31 favors.

Could be a Border Collie x Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I can see why they might thing Boston Terrier mix though. Remember cross bred dogs often don't look much like their parents.

definatly bully in there HOWEVER if they say the dog is a bully breed its likely itll never get adopted so let them say boston mix...as long as the dogs personality is sound...
personjally id say there are MANY breeds that have gone into the creation of this one :)

Thanks for the opinions! Its funny though, because if you saw him in person you wouldn't think he looked bully at ALL. I took that pic of him from the front and saw how bully he looked and I was like, whaaa? lol

When I'm adopting out a dog like that, I don't think breed is important, unless they have strong characteristics of a certain breed in personality. Which usually they don't.

So I usually just say 'Purebred Mutt', and there's plenty of people out there who can live with a dog without a breed slapped on it :)

I'd say it definitely has some boston looking markings. Looks like there's probably some bully in there too. Most boston mixes I see don't generally keep the short face unless it's mixed with a short faced breed.

Very cute dog! Hard to say what's in him . . . a little of everything perhaps? ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if he had some boston terrier in him, though.

Depending on where you are in VA I'd say fiest/pit mix. Fiest mix would get the dog adopted no problem and cause no insurance troubles. Maybe Fiest/BC mix for PR purposes (sad to have to do that, but you do what you have to to adopt out a perfectly nice dog).

Fiests are one of many bull cross heritage breeds (like curs), so he could even get his bully looks from the fiest side of the family. I've got a friend who has a pure fiest that looks for all the world like a pitbull/JRT cross. "Jaws" is black and white, too.

He's cute
