Jackson eats primarily kibble (Orijen and/or Acana) and his poops are SUPER small and firm. He does get pre-made raw 3x a week or so for a breakfast meal and I did notice a little bit smaller poos while on it. But I have no complaints with his poo on kibble either. It's not THAT big of a difference.

Erm, Enzo and Oz are on TOTW and Natural Balance, respectively, and they don't have poops that huge either. It is not, granted, as small as the raw fed dogs poops, but it's not much bigger either. And the difference between their poops and my brother and his girlfriends dogs poops (both are on lower end of the good food spectrum, but they aren't eating Purina or anything) is pretty marked too. And my two's disintegrates a lot quicker as well.

i've had about 10 dogs come thru here that have been on kibble, and that is not anything out of the ordinary for a kibble fed dog 60-80 pounds for the day. they get TOTW when they're here as well, nothing cheap.

there have only been two in that time that i've switched to raw, one because I was going to keep him, and he ended up going somewhere else, and this last one that I did keep, and the amount difference was dramatic in terms of how much waste they produce in a day. I'd say easily 4 times the amount in the same dog

This was mostly just a fun little thing an acquaintance of mine did which I thought would make an eye opening blog post! Glad it did the trick! I figured it would be a wake up call to those people who do feed a low quality food and are forced to pick up friggin' landmines on a daily basis.

The kibble fed dog in this is actually on a raw diet regularly but was put on Lifetime dog food while staying at this persons house for a week. To be honest I'm surprised the dog even had solid stools. I've never heard of Lifetime food before and it looks like a small independent company in Ontario. Looking at ingredients it's definitely not ideal but is better than what most dogs eat around the world.

Ingredients: Chicken Meal, Oatmeal, Whole Barley, Chicken & Turkey Fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols, a source of Vitamin E), Canola Meal, Whole Brown Rice, Flaxseed, Natural Flavours, Herring Oil (source of DHA/EPA), Sodium Chloride, Potassiom Chloride, Calcium Carbonate, Dicalcium Phosphate, Mannanoligosaccharides (MOS), Chicory Inulin (FOS), Choline Chloride, Yucca Schidigera Extract, (Vitamins) Vitamin Supplements (A,D,E), Niacin, Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Biotin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Vitamin B12, Vitamin K, Folic Acid (Minerals) Zinc Sulphate, Ferrous Sulphate, Calcium Iodate, Sodium Selenite, Chelated Minerals (Zinc, Copper, Manganese, Iron), Manganese Sulphate, Copper Sulphate.

canine plus lifetime dog food, nutreco lifetime dog food, lifetime chicken & Oatmeal, lifetime fish & oatmeal, lifetime lamb & oatmeal, nutreco canine plus

Either feeding raw or a high quality kibble we should all do our parts to educate and inform other pet owners the importance of better and ideal diets!

Nicky came home eating Beneful, and pooped five times the first night. No kidding, what came out of that dog would have lasted Argon for four days! And the color, good God, it was like a rainbow running through a nasty orange splat.

Even Argon took one look at the Beneful bag, sniffed once and ran away. This is the dog who almost ate a week old dead possum.
