That's a tough one, but I think either a Chihuahua or a Golden Retriever because I love goldens...They're such good cuddle dogs!

Sleeping at home..

What kind of treats do you give your dog/s?

Yes but we are working on it. She has never received anything off the table but still wants to taste what her sniffer is sniffing. If we can get her pre-occupied while we are eating dinner, she doesn't beg.

At home sitting/sleeping/chewing in her crate.

What is your dog's favorite excise activity?

I do bring my dog to work on Thursdays! She goes nuts if I leave her in the office by herself for more than 15 seconds. She sits on my lap and sleeps sometimes, but most of the time she's running around like a nut. If I didn't have to bring her, I wouldn't. It's fun, but it's so hard to get things done, lol.

Still sleeping or playing with her giraffe in her crate at home.

How many tricks does your dog know, and which one is your favorite?

Hrm . . that's she supposed to be playing? I'd say chase and kill the thrown object. She knows that when I say fetch she has to give it back (grudgingly) but when I just throw it, she's free to catch it, shake it, and zoom around the yard squeaking it in joy.

I sincerely hope she's still in her crate

What's your dream trick? Something you haven't taught your dog yet, but really really want to. (Has to actually be something a dog can do)

I taught my german shepherd this, but that was so many years ago - I'd hide an item in the house, somewhere realy hard, and send them after it. It came handy when my little sister went missing since she ran away. In other words, retrieve things using scent.

Dear bloodhounds, they're everywhere. On the couch, under the couch, I could name every place they are but don't want to.

What's the most embarrasing your dog has done in public that people have actually said something to you about?

I spend far too much on collars and treats!! But she's worth it!

Right now Zoe is looking outside the window- probably searching for squirrels.

What was your "second choice" name for your dog?

The runner up name was "Barley", as in malted barley, as in beer.

Darby is currently chewing up the Sunday paper here in my den. I should probably put a stop to it.

If your name was Timmy and you fell into an abandoned well, would your dog run for help, or just look at you curiously while you died of exposure?

Ronan would look at me for a second, then start running. To get help? No. To catch a furry animal? Maybe. To run for the sheer joy of running? DEFFINATELY! OC I could see going for help but due to his ADD it might take him a little while... LOL

Right now both dogs are chewing on their cow hooves.

Does your dog watch tv? As in actually looking at the screen.

NEVER!!!! Unless needed for a medical reason

OC is entertaining himself by throwing a ball with his mouth then pouncing on it a few times before picking it up, shaking it, and repeating the process LOL Ronan is napping.

What is the most embarassing thing your dog has done? (embarassing for you, not the dog)

Corn on the cob. It just looked wierd to me to see my dogs, with their huge teeth, chewing on a big cob of corn LOL

Visiting with me dad, he just came home from being gone for 3 weeks.

Does your dog ever sing along to anything like a cellphone ringing? If so, to what?

Lui barks and howls when the phone is ringing, and we haven't got up to get it.

Downstairs asleep, but watching out the sliding door in case there's a dog he needs to bark at.

What's the most irritating thing your dog does, that annoys you but you can't do anything about it?

The most irritating things are one absolutely has to be petted 24/7 if possible AND lay on you; another puts his nose to the ground (smelling the local chicks in heat) and comes up smacking and foaming at the mouth; another will bang on you with whatever toy is in his mouth until you take it and throw it for him.

2 are on the couches sleeping and one is under the computer desk.

At what moment did you realize you wanted the dogs you have?

^I saw Luke on Petfinder, and fell in love. He and Porkchop were a package deal, so we got them both. They are amazing- we're so glad that they chose us!

>Porkchop is sleeping in my lap, and Luke is streched out between me and Paul.

\/ Do you think that training/teaching a dog is ever done/complete?
