This is why people don't feed raw: I punctured my 10lb Bravo roll and had blood come shooting out of the hole and all over my kitchen. The dogs were like OMG DELICIOUS BLOOD ON THE FLOOR AND WALLS and I was horrified.

Kibble will always, always be easier. Lol.

Bwahahaha, my dogs WAIT for that moment to happen. Or for me to lose control of whatever is on the cutting board. Or for me to drop an entire carton of eggs, or for me to have a whole chicken breast slip out of my hand.

I think they pray for it, actually, and all of those have actually happened to me :p

Just had a pretty great walk :) Yayyy!

First we ended up on a corner about 5 feet from a little Bichon while some cars were going by. She pulled just a little, but it was more like leaning, and easily turned her attention from it.

Then on the next block, a family went by about 6 feet away with a reactive Aussie and Nina pulled a little harder, but nothing like how she used to be. Just interested, and wondering why he was barking so loud.

Also passed some bikers, kids, blah blah. For the first time, only squirrels were the real issue, only because she had to sit before we went on. All this training is paying off!

I was in a hurry to divide one up, and I didn't have time for it to thaw completely. It had been in a cold water bath for a little while, and I took it out and made the mistake of using an electric turkey carver. The minute I touched the package the entire thing exploded blood EVERYWHERE.

Collectively spent about 15 hours in the car since Friday...with my mom and 4 dogs.
Rigby did quite well on her first road trip (aside from trying to beat up a very nice pit bull at the meet). Cobain was excellent in the car as always.

It could have gone better, but I'm proud of them

Is there a way to avoid it? Mine was completely thawed and didn't even LOOK like there was any blood in the packaging... but apparently there was quite a lot of it :p This is my first time buying Bravo, obviously. :p

Or I guess next time (if I wanna chance a next time!) I'll just make sure to hold it over the sink when I make my incision lmao.

I never thaw my bravo completely. I use a sharp knife to cut what hasn't thawed. I made the mistake of thawing it completely only once.

I have Blue Ridge Beef, not Bravo, but I cut the tubes when it's still semi frozen. If I don't get to it until it's thawed, a little poke at the end of the tube into the sink to relieve some pressure and avoid the... Spurting. Hah. I'd rather feed semi frozen chunks of ground anyway, makes them actually work at it a bit as opposed to inhaling it.

So I heard Gander Mountain is like Cabela's and will sometimes host Dock Dogs events.
And we just had one open in town.

Yesssssss.

Apparently Rigby is afraid of thunder storms again. Yay.

And Cobain has been bizarrely cuddly and affectionate with Josh today, like 10 solid minutes of happy love and cuddles....he doesn't usually do this o_O

The LBD is panting and hot. Shaking the bed with his panting, even. So he gets off the bed, and walks around to the side farthest from the open window - right next to me - and hops back up. He wedges himself between me and the fluffy pillow.

HOW is this a cooler spot?

We had a crazy thunderstorm come in right around the time I would have left for agility class last night. High winds. Heavy rain. I didn't feel comfortable driving in it. I decided not to go.

The rain was done by the time my class would have started, and shortly thereafter the sun came out. I'm irrationally upset at having missed the class. It's normally the highlight of my week. It's a decent chunk of money down the drain. And I have Regionals in 3 days and that was my last opportunity to practice.

I'm STILL pissed for having missed it. Very disappointed.
