This probably won't be updated as nearly as often as I should, but I thought I'd just start a thread for all of the Abram pictures as he grows and matures!

Showing his spazz side when we first got into the car at the breeders' (this face is very familiar now):

He did settle down and road wonderfully the entire 6 hours home:

Cynder, however, was disgusted and pretended he didn't exist:

The second night we discovered he sleeps hard - and he doesn't care how he falls asleep:

The other evening when he was playing and being a brat:

He was at work with me for the last part of my shift today and it was during his naptime - he was completely oblivious to everything going on the entire shift.

Chewing on a bone this evening:

And some videos showing his cute puppy bumbliness and proof that Cynder actually does like him! (And that Mike also likes him, because he is the one that takes all of the pictures and videos and then sends them to me during the day. LOL) (Please ignore it if Mike's phone goes off during the video...)

I love his name!

I fostered a Chessie puppy several years ago. If I'd been in any position to own another dog, I would have kept him. I loooove Chessies. :)

Poor Cynder is just going to get a rude awakening when he isn't so small and clumsy anymore. :rofl1: He's already almost half her size and he just turned 8 weeks old.

He is SO cute!! Sounds like he's settling in well, too. I am so looking forward to watching him grow up here.

More pictures I took last night:

And one of Cynder, too, who was pouting because I wouldn't let her chase chipmunks:

Winding down for bed (I could tell he was getting tired because he was laying on me and chewing a toy instead of running laps and chewing on me LOL):

I also discovered a few things yesterday:

1.) He is awesome. Took him to Pet Supplies Plus for a quick food pickup. It was his first time actually being "out in public". He took everything in stride, was super confident, loved the kids that pet him and sat very politely, and even when he was unsure (like when an 8 month old hyped up puppy wanted to say "hi") he was still very in control of himself.
2.) He is not a Chessie. He is a Lab, or a Weim. I only had one person look at him and go, "Is he a Chessie?"
3.) If you have a puppy and are trying to walk him and carry a 40# bag of food while also carrying two toys, a cute random stranger will come up to you and help you to the car with the food. :p I told my friend she needs to borrow him to pick up guys. LOL
4.) Abrams likes to take showers. He jumped into my shower last night and had a blast playing bitey face with the spray and splashing in the water in the tub. Guess I wont have to worry how he'll do for baths!

Of course he likes water. Silly girl, Chessie and water go hand and hand.

My husband loves Chessies. We had one in our puppy class and he spent like 3 months trying to convince his parents they needed one.

I've never seen a Chessie in person before, his coat looks so lovely to pet! He's adorable!

Oh dear, he's so cute, his eyes are so sweet. How old is he?
He's about 8.5 weeks old now.

And yes, he is incredibly soft and squishable. ^^ Their coat gets harsher a they mature, but right now he is just all puppy down.

And, moar pictures! These are all of sleepy time puppy, because when I try to take pictures of active puppy I end up taking a picture of nothing as he is too fast for my poor phone camera to keep up with.

We went out to my parents' house today for lunch, and it was his nap time so he zonked out. He didn't even budge when my siblings and I were playing a very vocal, intense game of Mario Kart on the Wii.

After his nap my sister's boyfriend wore him out for me again, so on the ride home he was sleepy.

"I'm not sleepy."

"I swear, I'm not..."

I love my puppy. ^^ I'm so glad I finally have him. Mike was out of town yesterday and today and having this puppy really makes things easier. Even if he is a bratty monster that chews on everything, eats pea gravel and dirt, and unplugs the lamp behind the couch all the time.

First off, he is ADORABLE!!! :)

And second - he must be in cahoots with Zora, who als chews on EVERYTHING.
She tries to chew tiles. tiles. There is something wrong there.
