But really I am sitting here laughing my butt off!

With all these new hair threads I decided to go a little crazy and get my hair cut. I got 10" cut off!!! Anyways today I wanted to color it myself. I have a red that I use that is awesome! Can't beat a salon but I had to choose between that or feeding the ever increasing crew.

So picture this, I have bright red hair color in my hair and am just about to step in the shower, go to turn on the water...........AND NO WATER!!!!! I guess I should answer the door when someone knocks because I think it was the water company letting me know the water would be off for awhile. :yikes:

I desperately didn't want my hair to fry into a big frizzy mess, or burn it completely so I gathered all the water in the house. 1 gallon of drinking water from the fridge and about 9 gallons of water from all the dogs water bowls!!! OMG I was freaking out! So yes, I rinsed my hair with dog water and then just one gallon of clean water. I really don't even want to THINK about all the dog drool that I just coated my head in!

I am just at a loss. This crap only happens to me, lol. Anyways, thought you all could use a laugh....to bad it's at my expense! :lol-sign: :rofl1:

:rofl1: so.... how did you hair turn out?
Not sure yet! :yikes:

Wouldn't you know not 5 minutes after I posted this the water came back on. I just got out of the shower and it seems like it's all still there, lol. Will have to update once I can blow dry it and really get a good look. I know the solution was on for far to long......hope hubby doesn't come home to a Ronald McDonald look alike. :rofl1:

Nah, if anything it will be a darker shade than you wanted. The longer color sits, the more it oxidizes, and oxidization causes it to darken.
:)
I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!!!

Ha ha....well, maybe the drool did the trick. :D It's a little too red for me but I'm sure it will fade pretty quick.

Next I'm going to do caramel high lights. Knowing how my day is going maybe I should wait until tomorrow!

Thanks everyone. :D

And omg, I didn't even think of the water heater. Doh!

I donated my hair grammy. It grows like crazy so every couple of years I cut it off and help someone else. :)
