His blood pressure is back down to almost normal. It has been running around 190 and it was 136 today. Normal is 110-130. They say anything over 170 is high, adjusting for excitement of being at the vet. He also has not lost anymore weight this week, which is great! They are keeping him today to do the ultrasound and then that will have to be sent off so it will be a few days before we know anything on that, unless they see something obvious.

If the blood pressure and weight remain stable and the ultrasound is clear, it is looking more like a case of epilepsy as opposed to a brain tumor. THAT I can deal with!

I am so happy to hear this, and hope you get excellent news from the ultrasound later today.

Thanks, Everybody. I'm really hoping the weightloss and blood pressure was just a freak thing. I imagine epileptic seizures can kind of throw everything off for a few days? I'm anxious to talk to his vet this afternoon. She wasn't there this morning when the vet tech was taking his BP and stuff.

Kim--my daughter has partial complex seizures--and the post-ictal period is a very confused period of time for her. She is disoriented, but conscious--I can only imagine in canine's it might be similar.
It would be good news if this could be managed with meds. I am hoping for the best for you and Charlie.
