Hey so I know I am more of a lurker now, BUT for those who know the Teeniest of the Beans I just wanted to let you know that we competed in our first PSA competition last weekend and she earned her PDC!

A PDC is the entry level certificate, and let me tell you it's NOT easy. Teeny is currently the first Female Alapaha to earn a PDC as far as I can tell from posted trial results, and the second Alapaha ever. I'm pretty proud of my little Beans.

And then a group shot of most of the people who passed on Sunday.

Back from L to R: Katrina and Nisha (Mal earned PSA1), Holly and Anja (GSD earned PDC), Chad (decoy), Mike (decoy), Rachel and Buddy (Mal earned PSA1), Alyssa and Teeny (Alapaha Bulldog earned PDC), Dom and Kane (Dutchie earned PDC)
Front: Greg (Judge), Arin (decoy)

Thanks everyone! If you look EXTRA close at that first picture, you will see that she earned her PDC with her nails painted pink ;)
Congrats! Will she go on to earn other titles, or are you done for now?
We're going to attempt our PSA1 in September. But we have a TON of work to do before then, so our attempt may just end up being a learning experience on what else we'll need to work on. And then we'll just have to try again next year.

And once our PSA trial season is over I want to get her back into agility to throw some more agility titles on there.

What's Blue the Car Eater been up to?
Well Blue attempted his PDC and failed MISERABLY! LOL!

Basically I knew going into it that we have some OB troubles because he is SO simple and silly he can't get out of his own way half the time. But I figured there was a possibility of us making it up since our attention heel is pretty good.

The night before the trial we had open field and we ran the OB routine near PERFECT! I was so happy.

We walked out to the field on Saturday and I was insanely nervous, and when I say Blue fed off of me, he FED off of me. He knew I was nervous and was doing his darndest to figure out who was making me that way, and who he needed to worry about. SO his obedience went WOOSH out the window and we didn't even get to make it onto protection he was so bad. :rofl1:

SO I'm putting him back into retirement. There is no way I'll ever be able to trial without being some sort of nervous, and since I know how much he feeds off of me it's not worth the aggravation to work towards getting us there. Ah well. He's just happy to be a momma's boy now. And I'll still bring him out here and there to go chase down a decoy.

Been there done that. It's a shame they can't judge our training sessions, huh?

Ugg, I know what you mean about not listening. I had Argon evaluated for his CGC a couple of months ago. We practiced, and practiced and practiced, especially on the greeting other dogs part, since he is DR. He was perfect.
Then the day came, and he decided that he was not going to walk at heel. Literally, he flung himself into the fresly mowed grass moaning and groaning, and rolled around like a horse. He absolutely would not listen.
Sigh. What else can you do but laugh?
