Slade at the cottage - PIC OVERLOAD

I just had to de-lurk to tell you how much I adore Slade! He is a stunning little boy! I just melt every time I see pictures of him! But then, I've always been a sucker for sporting dogs.
We had a German Shorthaired Pointer for almost 15 years. She was a sweet sweet girl who went to the bridge in April.
We will be bringing home a Viszla in about 8 weeks. The litter was just born on Monday. We can't wait.

Sorry to hear about your girl, but at 15, she had one heck of a good run! Atta girl!
And congralutations on your Vizsla puppy! I think Viszlas are gorgeous as well, and wouldn't think twice about getting Slade a rusty brother in the future.
Be sure to de-lurk with pictures of your new puppy too, when the time comes!

I work very hard with him to ensure that he never fits that stereotype. I'm the typical "Type A Personailty" who takes a strong leadership role, and am a stickler for manners, training, and rules (not without fun!). It takes a certain kind of personality to handle a Weim, but Slade and I are working out great!
P.S. Slade has walked on a loose leash since he was 9 weeks old, and at 13 weeks, is totally fine for offleash walks too. Sorry, had to brag about mah boy!
