RIP Mittens...

Dan and I took Casanova to a park yesterday... and were out of the house for about 2 hours... and when we came back, Mittens, our black little kitten was very lethargic. We tried feeding him a little bit, but he just wouldn't perk up. So I rushed him to the vet where they gave him some antibiotics and dextro. They gave me some dextro home to give to him a little bit every 30 minutes.

He perked up slightly and we were ready to fight for him as we fought for Josephine last week. About 10.30pm he started to grasp for air really hard. All Dan and I did was hold and pet him and shortly after he stopped breathing.

Rest in Peace, little Mittens. The short time you were in our lives, you were so loved and cared for. I am so sorry it just wasn't enough. I am so sorry.
