Not an issue with dogs. I feed mine raw chicken, if anything is a salmonella risk that is. In 2 years of raw feeding, never a sign of sickness from food.

If giving eggs, do you subtract kibble to compensate? I'm trying to get one of my dogs to lose weight.

Also, should one still give eggs if they are feeding a high protein kibble like EVO or Barking at the Moon?

salmonella is in about 40% of all dogs GI tracts regardless of what they are fed, It's a non issue. I've been feeding raw for years, I don't bleach my kitchen i'm not a clean freak, we have ZERO issues with any illness let alone a food borne one in the humans or dogs that live here.

yep Raw egg , I start them on it when we take them off mom so as far as I know at any age is ok and I am pretty sure its ok for any breed ,But someone else might know better but I have never had a problem .

I give raw eggs once in a while. I stir it in with kibble. Not more than once every few weeks, because I believe in all things moderation. And since I'm trying to work my dog into shape for an upcoming pull, I'm going very easy on stuff that contains a lot of fat, like egg yolks.

I feed Raw eggs whole, a few times a week.... my dogs break the shell themselves and everything, and it's fun for them! I feed "brown eggs" that are organic, but you can feed whatever, and it's a healthy addition to the diet. They also love hard-boiled eggs, which is pretty easy in itself.
