Meet Matisse

1st show: multiple best of winners, 2nd place in best of bred by group, multiple 1st place in winners over his first 4 day group of shows. Woo hoo. This boy is headed for stardom.

And Maurice:
One Poodle just wouldn't do.

Check out that gait. Never before interested in conformation. But now, I've caught the bug. This dog is so happy and enthusiastic...loves it.

ahhhahahahahahhahaha

Lookit those little poo's , I love them! I am so glad you have what you needed , how are the Chi's liking them?
They're tolerating them. Chulita really isn't into their Shenanigans. She's got CHF and is on meds which are keeping her managed. But she has no time for their pestering and knows how to tell them off in no uncertain terms, which I encourage. Jose` is okay, kind of likes them if they don't keep jumping on him. He doesn't tell them off well enough so sometimes I have to step in or he'll be driven mad. So, there's not a lot of love there. But they sure are endearing to me. Matisse is hell on wheels...lots of drive and energy. Will make a great agility dog. Maurice is much more laid back and will go into free style dance and sitting on laps. Very different....two different litters, same world renown breeder...same age. Maurice is extra small. Matisse is nearing his max at about 7 months old.

Thanks guys, for the nice comments. They're keeping me very busy, that's for sure. Not much time for sitting and staying. lol. Poodles are smart as all get out and although they learn things super fast, they also are easily bored and get into all kinds of trouble.

Here's another short video

They are just too cute! Looks like Matisse has Farley's paper obsession that I was never successful in training out of him. Good luck!;)

LOL. He did it at the hotel we stayed in too... had it all wrapped around himself. Yes, it seems to be a favorite thing for lots of dogs. I just have to remember to close the bathroom doors. lol

OMG--they are adorable!!! Are you going to show Maurice too?
Thanks guys for the nice comments.

My breeder is encouraging me to show Maurice after Matisse finishes. But I'm not sure. It is very expensive to show them to ch. And he is on a limited registration. Matisse isn't. So, the way I see it, the reason to get their ch. is for the option of breeding, which we intend to do with Matisse as long as he passes muster on health. Maurice is well put together too and also has a lovely gait and temperament. My breeder says he's got what it takes too. He is very small though. There's no minimum in the standard though for toy Poodles...just a max. So, theoretically, he could be bred to a large bitch and try to off set that tininess. The breeder didn't breed to get small on purpose. His litter mate was more average size. He just came out that way. lol. So, we'll see. I thought he'd be good at free style dance. Loves dancing on his hind legs and is good at it....very lithe.

Thanks everybody.:)
