Oh, best of luck! And good luck to the realtor. His life will be HELL if he makes you unhappy . . . Mit will make sure of that :D
:D

Ooooh, good luck!

We actually found our realtor through our mortgage broker... he gave her our information and she called us.

We're closing on July 31st (pending the home inspection goes well... which will be this week). We were really picky as well... we wanted 4 bedrooms, all tile/wood floors, fenced in yard, and after looking at 20 or so houses we found "the" house.

It's been very stressful, but it will be worth it in the end (I think, lol) :D

We have a list. House must-haves, house preferences (but would be okay if the house didn't have) and house bonuses (would be way cool if the house had it). I started basic with this one realtor, gave him the specs (4 bed, 2 bath, sq. feet, etc) and the listings he emailed back were all withing our price range and within our spec requets. We're meeting with him tomorrow night.

I heard on HGTV that the average house hunter only looks at 7 homes, which seemed SO LOW! I feel as if when we're ready to buy a house, we'll be looking at 50 before we're comfortable putting in an offer...

Our poor future realtor.

Good luck, BP!
A few months ago we were looking at open houses, the second house was THE ONE.. if only we could have afforded it. :rofl1: I hope the realtor is up the task... we know EXACTLY what we want, he just has to get us the best deal. :)

if you already have not done so, i recommend getting pre-approved for whatever amount you are looking to borrow to get the home. If you have a FIRM pre-approval number, realtors won't screw around with you.

Good luck! Are you staying in the San Fran area? I hope not. LOL ;)

I hate to disappoint Puckster, but we will be staying in the Bay Area. ;)

We're looking a little further to the East Bay, though. I have no want to live in the busier parts of the Bay. Not for me.

Our pre-approval was just approved not just 5 minutes ago. I've got a letter in my hand.

Someone pinch me. :p
