Just a quick note before I have to go back to Yearling Sweeps.

This morning at the Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers Fall show at Tradex, Abottsford, BC, Canada, Ruger went Winners Dog for 2 more CKC pts to earn his Canadian Champion Title.

He is now:

Can Ch. Redyre Weapon Of Choice, HIC

I will be back to give updates thoughout the weekend, but thought I would share this very exciting news.

Congratulations Ruger!

I should come by and watch, I live about 30 minutes from the Tradex.

Best of luck for the weekend.

I can hardly express my joy, delight, satisfaction, ELATION, over Ruger's earning his CKC CH at such a young age and in such STYLE with a WD win at a SPECIALTY!!!

I feel confident this litter will put their mother into production awards, all on their own.

I cannot thank Tracy enough for all her hard work, and the money she has spent showing this puppy. It is obvious she has spent a lot of time in careful training. I am just basking!!!

It has been a great 2 days around here! So, tonight, I have ready to prepare shrimp with fresh asparagus and mushrooms in garlic cream sauce over pasta, and a li'l glass (or maybe TWO!) of white wine.

Hubby is off to band practice, so I fully expect you to all have your butts in chat later so I can gloat!!!

:D :D :D

Congratulations, that was fast. Wasn't he a fat little black sausage-baby just the other day? That is what I remember......

Well I'm finally home. It is now 9:15pm. All the specialties today were running late, 2 HOURS LATE, so we didn't go in for sweeps until after 7:00pm.

We didn't do anything in sweeps, but I didn't really expect to. I was told that the sweeps judge was a Corgi breeder and true to form she picked two corgi's 1st and 2nd and two other small breed dogs for the 3rd and 4th place. Ruger was done anyway, not in to it in the slightest, so no biggy. I did move him up, so we are specialing the next three days. We'll see how it goes.

BTW, I sat around all afternoon waiting for the judge to be available for a picture and it never happened, so I'll try tomorrow to get a picture.
