Linda, where could you meet the last leg at? Do you want them to come all the way into Santa Fe or where would a good meeting place be?

Linda, Friday pickup for you or Dahlia? I'm hoping it's the latter!

Also, what's the general info on her? UTD on shots? Spayed? Good with dogs? etc...

Dahlia is utd on shots as of the 9th. She is not spayed, I have to do that when she gets here.

She has been around other dogs, although it doesn't sound like it has been recent, also been around kids, but the caretaker does not keep her around his child as he feels she is large and young, so she has not been taught how to act around a small child.

Unfortunately, it sounds as if she has not had any socialization since being cared for, it appears as if she has been living in a garage or basement. She has had some basic training, how long ago I don't know. It sounds like she is regressing on some of the training she has had.

That is about all I know, unless Renee can think of something I have missed I've kept her up on the emails.

Animal crackers. The natural food of Filas :D Slow and easy, soft voice and animal crackers.

Judy (Kharma's breeder) did a good bit of rescue and she's remarked to me that in all the Filas she'd picked up, either to bring home or to transport, she'd never had one balk, that they seemed to know.

EDIT: And something that works in our favor is the way she appears to have been living she hasn't had that much time/reason to form a real bond where she is.

The former owner needs to bring her outside and to the car and make introductions.

Ok, I'm getting ready to post this email. Will she have a harness? Or just a steady supply of animal crackers?
