My Baby Boy Has Arrived!

As the title says, my little one was born 3 1/2 weeks ago! On Jan.10 he was born at 11:33 am. He weighed 7lbs 12 oz, and was 20 inches long. His name is Elijah (we call him Eli) St. Clair after his great grandfather who passed away nearly 3 years ago. My labor was induced on the 9th, but it took some time for the gel to work, so in the end I was in labor for 7 hours, not bad at all for a first time mom! The delivery was tough, fast but tough. I suffered 3rd degree tearing, tons of blood loss and very low blood pressure which all contributed to being in and out of consciousness. So it was several hours before I was able to hold the little guy, but he is perfect!! He did have some jaundice, but he is doing great now!

Thank you all so very much! Yes, we have waited for him for a very very long time. But he was worth the wait and much more!!!

It's true Miakoda, I'd have endured anything just to finally get to hold this little man in my arms. He makes everything make sense, if you know what I mean.

The dogs have taken everything in stride, well...Seagle is still having an adjustment period. We have had to make sure we give him a little extra one on one time, and anyone with a newborn knows how hard this can be! But he's a beagle, and anything that he associates treats with can't be all bad!

Elijah (Eli) was the other name I had chosen for a boy. I asked DH Elijah or Mason and he picked Mason.
