Betty belonged to a friend of mine. She got her from a coworker of my mother's who won't spay her dog (And has yet ANOTHER litter of mixed breed puppies). Betty is also the sister of my other friend's dog Olivia (I have posted a thread about her, this is the friend who let her breed, and will be having puppies soon if she does NOT spay her!!). Well, my friend had to move into an apartment (She was living with her parents) and she has to get rid of Betty because these apartments do not allow animals. She loves Betty alot, and I know she is going to really miss her! She has been looking for someone to take Betty since she found out she was moving (A month ago) but no one would take her...

So I am taking her, and atleast fostering her. May end up keeping her if it works out with my pack. She is 9 months old. Its really hard since I lost my puppy Zen on May 17th. I am not ready for another puppy, but the next stop for Betty is the SPCA where she would most likely be euthanized since there are just not enough homes for the number of dogs there.

This is the only picture I have (Taken off my friend's myspace). She will be dropped off over here tomorrow, and I will get a ton more pictures!

The father is a toy poodle, and the mother is a Lhasa Apso mix. (Olivia doesn't look like either, she looks like a Rat terrier mix for sure!!) I see Cocker spaniel....who knows! I have NEVER seen Betty in person!!

She's a cutie! Bless you for taking her in (or taking her in very SOON) :D
Some people though..with their mixed breed dogs. Some people and their DOGS (mixed or purebred), generally...

bubbatd, I think she's already trying hard to educate them! ^^

I have already been educating my friend with Olivia. And the people who work with my mother, I have never come into contact with them...BUT my mom has told me she (The owner of the dog who keeps producing these puppies) has an appointment for her female dog to be spayed cause she doesn't want her to have anymore puppies. So now I am working hard on educating my friend and telling her to spay Olivia! And the owner of Betty is telling her to spay Olivia too! She's going to have Betty spayed as soon as possible (I will be driving her and Betty out to HOPE animal foundation to be spayed), since I have unaltered male dogs. And while Betty is being spayed, Bob (my 2 1/2 year old dachshund) will be neutered! :)

She is here! (And I have a potential adopter already!) Shes bigger than I expected! Larger than all of mine! (She looks like Bjorn, and I think if Bjorn had a tail it would look like hers!)

She has never lived with guys, and hasn't seen a lot of them..but she really likes me brother!! So she will be sleeping in his bedroom tonight! She is doing fine with my dogs, she wants to play with them...but my dogs on the other hand are not behaving.

My jaw dropped when I saw the first picture with that big, plumy tail. She's a lot bigger than I thought she'd be from the first photo. And she's gorgeous! :hail: I don't know why black dogs are so hard to adopt out, I think they're the prettiest dogs.

Well, the first potential home I mentioned changed their mind when they saw the updated pictures of her. (I guess she was bigger than they wanted, shes only about 15-20 pounds..that's not THAT big..and she is 9 months old. I guess they were expecting a tiny puppy). But I have another home lined up, I am going to be meeting them today. Its a woman and her mother, they only have a kitten. She has been proven to be very, very good with kittens! She loves cats! She wasn't so good with my dogs. I only introduced her one at a time, but she tried to attack every dog I showed her. (She was an only dog, and has not been around dogs since she was much younger). So I don't think her and dogs will be a good match.

She is in a new home! The second potential adopters loved her! We went over to their house (They have a huge yard). It was a woman in her 40s and her 20 year old daughter. They have one cat (Which she got along with fine). She bonded right away with them. I am taking her to HOPE animal foundation Friday to get spayed, and then straight back to their house (The 20 year old is going to come with me cause she wants to get her microchipped as well). So she is in a good home! I was very happy leaving tonight!
