Absolutely should be legalized. For goleor of reasons, not the least of which is its efficacy in medical applications.

I have smoked maybe two or three times. Gave me a headache. The last time I had a really nice wine buzz going and unthinkingly took a hit and got instantly sober . . . ruined a perfectly good and thoughtfully maintained wine buzz

I tried it back in the 70's and yes " I DID INHALE" lol
I don't use it don't like the smell
I think leagalization is fine as it would be taxed and put growers ( illegal) ones out of business as well as street dealers. Also my main reason for that is that a Doctor can write you a prescription but it is illegal to get it so getting your meds makes you a criminal.
Lets face it we can't stop it no matter how hard we try so why not get tax dollars for it ?

I don't smoke it. I have before a few times. The first time I had a panicky reaction (I really smoked waaaayyyy too much because I had no reaction to it at first) to it but I thought it was ok socially after that.
The reason I don't do it now is because I got caught before. That was not fun. Community service, etc.
I used to hang out with several hippies who worked at the park where I used to be and who would just be smoking like a chimney so the smell doesn't really bother me.

Question 1) I think the whole propagenda about it being a starter drug is bs on the grounds that if kids were properly informed that in low doses, MJ is not nearly as harmful to you as more serious and addictive drugs like coke, Meth and so on then their wouldnt be as much intrest in trying out hardcore drugs. After all for most people who have tried it besides for some people making you sick afterwards it is nothing compared to how horrendous I remember them trying to make it sound in elementry school and have a few friends who did try harder stuff based on the mentality that since they lied about MJ they were probabaly lying about other drugs as well.
Obviously anything can be abused but used in low doses now and then i see nothing wrong with it, being used for medical and recriatonal purposes.
Question 2) Yes, making it illegal only helps get rid of it's allure to very young people as being cool and legalzing it and setting out guidlines for how much is ok to use before you need to start worrying about long term effects ( you have to be a pretty heavy smoker to become perma stoned though).
Question 3) Very Rarely, as in a few times a year at most, but not often and in small amounts no more then one joint sharing with a friend. I smoked from a friends bong once made me want to puke i was soo sick so never ever doing that again.

I think it is stupid. I think that it is a lame excuse for people to run away and try to escape from their problems instead of facingthem. I think it hurts far too many people.
My first reaction is no. But then again.. why does it really matter. If the idiots want to smoke it, they'll find a way. But, I have not done the research nor do I possess the information and knowledge enough to stand firmly on either side of this issue.
Heck no. I used to have tons of pot heads as friends in my early teens. But I was never dumb enough to try it. No matter how many times my friends would ask me to try it, I would never. I've seen what cancer sticks and marijuana has done to my mother, and just the fact that I never want to be like her, so I will NEVER ever think about smoking or drinking. Smoking and drinking alcohol will never be an option for me.

Any drug can be abused . I've had a few " hits" but it really doesn't do anything for me or to me ...so why waste it . I do like the smell and that's enough for me . I've never been around any potheads ....only a few recreational users . I really put it in the same catagory as booze .....I hate drunks too ! As to other drugs ... I'm dead set against any that " hooks " someone . I don't see people killing over liquor or a little funny cigs ..... but other drugs are a different story .
My view...it is easier on the body and less dangerous than Booze.
