*sigh* BUN levels are down slightly but still high. Waiting on the Lepto test. They've upped her fluids once again. She is still eating and drinking on her own. :(

Well I went to see her, and I'm glad I did. She was pretty perky and not too distressed when we left, so I think we'll be coming to see her often. She's going to remain hospitalized until her BUN bottoms out, and then that will tells us what kind of damage has been done to the kidneys.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe it was a tampon! It sounds like something one of my dogs would do.

I hope her BUN goes down, and that she won't have to stay at the vet hospital for long.

Lots and lots of (((((((((((((((VIBES))))))))))))))

I hope she's home soon! Though I'm sure she's enjoying the break from the annoying puppies ;)
LOL OMG, it was so funny, my mom said, "Ollie says hi!" and Macky froze, tucked her tail, and stared out the exam room window!!!! She was OBVIOUSLY like, "It's here? NOOOOOOOO!" :rofl1:

Oh my goodness!!! A tampon, how classic! Sounds like something my crew would do.

My Micki had Lepto a few years ago when he was 6. He was extremely lethargic and emaciated, but after a week of a hospital stay and fluids he bounced back. His kidney levels have never been the same but he's still doing well 4 years later.

Sending massive get well soon vibes!

Aw, I missed that she still wasn't doing very well. But I am glad there is better news today! I will definitely be keeping Macky in my thoughts.

I can't believe a tampon of all things, how embarrassing! I'm sure it won't have been the first a vet has removed from a dog though.

Hope she continues to improve. Keep us updated!
