I thought I should let you guys know

It's NOT cancer.
Ben got the call from the vet this afternoon as I was in the shower.
Her white blood count couldn't be more normal he said, he's slightly baffled at the swelling, and he's thinking that it might be...dun, dun, dun! a bug bite(s).
But, regardless, he's putting her on prednisone claiming that Benedryl will bring down the swelling, but at a MUCH slower rate, and that prednisone should kick the swelling down way faster.
My father-in-law is picking up the prednisone for us (he lives closer to our vet), and he'll get the reports.
We'll take Ella back early next week for a re-check, and if the swelling hasn't gone down by then, we'll have to probably keep doing tests.
But he said as of right now there is NO sign of cancer AT ALL.
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, I think I am going to go lay down with Ella after I eat something, and get some much needed rest.
