Wow Zoom, it's a lot to deal with all at once. I too really admire you for pushing forward. I hope that these changes will work out for the very best and you end up in a better place than you were. In fact, I suspect that will be the case for you.

(((Hugs)))

I've been there, and remember well how much it totally and completely sucked. So you have my total empathy.

I hope your time with your parents goes well (I've always loved Denver :)) and you figure out what will make you feel better. I believe that you'll end up stronger and better in the long run, but I'm sure that it doesn't feel like that now.

More hugs from me. Have a safe trip.

Zoomers, I highly doubt you want to move to Georgia, but we have a second bedroom that is empty (except for storage right now) that you are more than welcome to.

As for the job thing, there's a bar up the street that is always looking for experienced bartenders. Just another thing to consider, if you'd like. Most of the dog related activities here are on the north side of Atlanta though.

((((HUGS))))

Well there's always room in France.. ;)

Can't promise you a job, and having 4 dogs in the house might be a bit of a squeeze, but you are welcome here none the less.

It never rains but it absolutley persists it down.. Change can be a good thing though, keep possitive chick, at least you have friends and family you can turn to.

MEN! But as you say, better to know now rather than later..

What she said. But, if for some reason you really like Georgia, things are relatively cheap here. (At least compared to where I was in Maryland.) We're renting a two-bedroom townhouse, that's probably not more than 2 years old, for $600 a month. Before that, we had a four-bedroom house for $800 a month. This is in the Augusta area, though. Which is about 3 hours west of Atlanta.

Sorry this happened to you. :(

Such hard times for you and for so many. I'm so sorry you're having this un-anchored feeling. I'm sending you my best vibes for a new job and new start. Yes, it was lucky you found out how unstable your b.f. was before you moved in. My daughter had a similar experience fairly recently. It's unnerving though. I will be crossing my fingers that things get back on track for you.

I know of two people who do dog sitting and dog walking. One is someone my daughter knows and use to work with (I think she lost her job) and she makes 70K a year walking dogs!!! (she gets her exercise too!) The other, I heard about from someone I was doing business with. His daughter quit her rather high level corporate job with Nordstroms because her dabbling with dog sitting on off time got so lucrative, it didn't make sense for her to stay with Nordstrom. I guess she's haulin' it in. Both of these people live in the Seattle area. So, if you're in a city where there is some money and people take vacations, you might think about that.

Anyhow, nothing stays the same. And your situation will also get better.

I am so sorry, Zoom :(

(((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))

If you feel like moving to the land of humidity and year round heat, the job market in Orlando has stayed pretty stable throughout the last year. Housing is decently expensive, though, unless you live in an older place. However, it's not too big of an issue because the job market hasn't really crashed here yet *knock on wood*

I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy now and it's not because Sawyer is draped across my lap. :lol-sign:

I'm headed out here in a minute, just wanted to check up on things. I spent the night at my friend's apartment in Manhattan, KS so I've only got 7 hours to drive instead of 9-10. I'm feeling oddly optimistic, because while I don't know anything that's going to happen in the coming weeks, I at least know I'm not being lied to and led along on a daily basis. That alone is putting a smile on my face.

Actually, I prob could get you a job! The one I know for sure would only be $9 an hour, but you would get free rides into NYC. So it would work as a hold-over job. :)

I hope you have a safe trip!!!!!!

Portland is not bad :)

But I don't even have a full sized sofa. But, if you give me a 2 day lead, something always turns up in this town. Its just a matter of harassing the right people, at the right time.

Just reading this now and sending lots of good vibes and thoughts your way.

I'm sure Virgo would love it if you moved up to wonderful Saskatchewan (although many would replace wonderful with other choice words ;) )

Have a safe drive
