I have a ton of old computer games that I don't use anymore so I decided to sell them. Mark said he'd take them to work and sell them for me so I said "Ok, I want ten dollars for a game." Ok, I think this was pretty self explanatory. So we just calls me and says "Well I sold all your games and got your TEN DOLLARS for you." I said "so you sold one game than?" and he goes "no I sold them all, you said you wanted ten dollars for all of them." So after about ten minutes of flipping out he's like "well do you want me to get them to pay for all of them or take them back" I said "yes" and he's like "I'm not going to do that". I get so mad at him sometimes because he just DOES NOT comprehend stuff. I really wanted that money for Christmas shopping and now I can't even afford to buy a frickin tank of gas with that puny amount of money. I would really like to know how men just do not hear what we are saying sometimes. I mean if I told him "I want you right here right now" or something along those lines he'd understand that perfectly well but if I tell him I want ten dollars PER GAME he doesn't understand that.

Julie... TJ is the same way. I go through similar stuff like that all the time with him. He can't remember anything. He doesn't read labels and will 80% of the time come home with the wrong thing.... but he's my TJ and I still wouldn't trade him for anything. Try not to stay mad too long at mark.. I'm sure he didn't do it on purpose.. he just wasn't listening.

Oh, I'm not mad at him. He's a good guy I can't stay mad at him for too long. Just get frustrated that I tell him stuff and it goes in one ear and out the other.

Ok look it wasn't totally his fault. I mean you gave him a computer game, told him to sell it for ten dollars and so he did that. I don't see the problem?

lol, you're right GO, she should have written a little note and pinned it to his shirt so all he had to do was point to it when someone asked how much they were. Totally her fault, I'm sure she's learned her lesson. ;)

"Ok, I want ten dollars for a game."

"a" usually implies one. She gave him several games.

Yes but maybe a fly buzzed by his ear at that point so the combination of 'a' and zzzzz make it sound like za gamez.

Yes, I gave him several games. I gave him 8 games to sell. And a couple people from his shop chipped in some money and all the games. I had the original sims Deluxe and the unleashed expansion set though which I spent $30 a piece on.

Ahh... the joys of men.

Rob is the same way... he usually is all caught up in his computer when I tell him something like that...

The same thing happened with me yesterday. I had a 30 gallon tank I wanted to sell, and I told him I would like 50 bucks for it at least, because the lights we bought ourself (the tank was gave to us, we bought everything else for it).

He sold it for 30...

Men... sheesh!

ITs a guy thing. We as women have to learn to deal with it or get mad. Im right about at 50/50. Jim is especially bad about listening. He learned well from his father! LOL
Problem solver. Put little lables on each game with the price on them. Be very specific on the prices. With men I have noticed you have to be very specific or they dont get it. I often repeat myself making sure he completely understands. Kind of like a child. LOL

2f mon ths ago, it was late at night, and my husband insisted that he was going to go to the store to pick up some coffee from me, we were out and he knows what a coffee drinker I am . He just wouldn't listen to me and went out anyway. At a traffic light by the store he was hit by a drunk driver and killed. Men never listen.

THANK YOU!!! It might seem obtuse to you women, but this is TRUE. If you are not very specific with what you want, don't complain when the man cannot read your mind.

We have to deal with women's little quirks, so please learn to deal with ours and not whine about it. LOL

LOL It is very true!
When I get upset that he didnt get it I get upset at myself for not being more specific than I already was!!!
Still sometimes you have to admit men are bone heads when it comes to instructions.
Women can be overly sensitive, pushing, demanding, basically Beaches! LOL
Im perfectly fine admitting I am a beach at times! :lol-sign:

Wow...

And it's not that you have to be really specific with us, it's just that you have to be more specific than you think you're being.

I was told to go pick up some cascade once. That's the dishwashing soap stuff. So I got the kind that are in the little pouch things cause I thought it'd be easier and it wasn't that much more expensive but nooo, I had to go back and get the powder kind because she 'specifically told me' to get it.

Now I know for a fact she never specified which one she wanted but in her mind she was clear as day because 'that's the kind that's always in the house'.

We don't keep track of that kind of stuff ladies! You have to tell us what you want! Not just a general brand.
