Hello Hello.

I was just referred to this lovely forum by a wonderful lady, Ravennr, aand i felt the need to make an into topic because i'm really really new to this.

I have a 7 year old German Shepherd named Mocca, and I'm Ana and 19.

My dog is pretty much .. my life.

I sacrifice so much for him, I treat him as if I gave birth to him myself.

He is, absolutely, one of the very main most important things to me in my LIFE.

He's perfect in my eyes, but not for others.

He has some behaviour issues with strangers because he's an anxious dog.
He has no behaviour problems at home, but out in public is a different story.

I do walk him with a 'gentle-leader' but it can still be difficult at times.

He's a giant sweetheart and a baby, though, and he's just got so much personality and character and amazingness that at times i seriously forget we're of different species.

i don't know how to embed pictures but here:

Hello, and welcome to Chaz :D
Mocca is beautiful :) You'll fit right in - a lot of us feel the exact same way you do about our dogs ;)

My suggestion (if you haven't already) would be to post for help in the training section, and be a specific as possible in your description of the behaviors you would like to change. And also, what food you feed, and how much exercise Mocca gets daily would also be helpful ;)

Have you ever read Click to Calm, by Emma Parsons ------ I HIGHLY recommend it for an anxious, reactive dog ;)

Welcome! You're going to find lots of people here who feel just as you do about their dogs; you'll be right at home. Mocca looks like a big smush. :p I look forward to learning more about both of you.
