He looks all JRT to me.... how tall is he? The JRTRO might be of assistance finding him a performance home.

He is approx 16" at the shoulders. I believe he has a page on the JRTRO site...I'm not the one who rescued him; I just work at the kennel he's staying at & have totally fallen for him:D If I didn't already have three dogs, he'd have come home with me months ago. Cider the cocker's mom Laura (MafiaPrincess) fostered him for a few weeks. I don't think he HAS to go to a performance home; an active family would also be ideal.

I pasted his info onto someone today, she already spoke to the kennel and is now waiting for them to return her call. Hopefully they don't keep her waiting to long.
These people have a lovely large home on a large horse farm, they have other rescues and just lost their old jrt (rip).
This dog could suit her to a T, because she likes the over sized Jrts and doesn't want other types. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to have a dog in her care, oh yeah they also own their own business and he would go to work with her each day at the office. The last Jrt was the king at the office and especially enjoyed the Employee BBQ's!!

He's pretty cute. Really could use someone with jrt experience. Even wish I knew what I know now when I was fostering him. That home sounds absolutely perfect Lynn. I really hope it works out.

Laura those are awesome pic's.
I will call my friend today and have her check them out. She wants Jack no doubt, so I would be surprised if she didn't end up getting him. She also spoke to the kennel yesterday as well.
In my opinion and with my experience of being a former JRTCC Rescue Rep, this is a perfect home. If all rescue Jrts could find a home such as my friends, it would be a perfect world.
Thanks again
Lynn

Thank you. When I was trying to show him off I tried to take nicer homey pics of him. Thought they were more enticing.
I really hope that home works out, it sounds beyond perfect. He is a very sweet boy, but need an experienced person to help him be all he can be.

That lady sounds like she'd be perfect for Jack.I really hope she gets him-the owner of the kennel would love to keep him, but she can't, so she's being really picky about where he eventually goes to.

I just got back from Nationals on Monday. I am very curious as well as to what has happened.
I plan on calling my friend tomorrow and find out if she has gotten anywhere with the adoption.

Yep, Jack got adopted!! I'm pretty sure it was the same lady you were talking about Lynn. I met them a week or so ago & they seemed like they'd give Jack a wonderful home! They came & got him Thursday...There will be a follow up visit, to make sure everything's going okay, but it looks like Jack has found his forever home:D :D :D I'm sure gonna miss the little guy, but I'm thrilled he's going to get all the attention & training he deserves.

LOL. Willow's owner left me a message to tell me tonight he got adopted. I'm glad to hear it. Thank you Lynn for putting it in motion :)

I met Jack last week, he was at work with his new owner and enjoying the freedom of the offices. He and I became friends rather quickly (of course I had some very yummy rewards for him. Wow is he huge!! I think he is a Fiest and not a Jrt and I expect he may have come from P.J's Pets in Toronto.
Of course P.J's is the worst offender as a pet store selling dogs/pups in the GTA. A few years ago when I was Rescue Rep for Ontario for the JRTCC, I had a couple of these types of dogs come into the rescue, over sized looking Jrts, that may have been Fiest's.
At any rate, I expect that Jack will have a forever home, his new owner adores him and he'll not want for anything.
It sure makes one wonder how things happen sometimes, same day that she told me that she was looking for a new over sized Jrt, I see the post about Jack on here.........sometimes just somethings are meant to happen.
I expect this will continue to have a happy ending.....................................

I am sooo happy to hear that she & Jack-Jack are getting along well!! :D :D :D I bet he's just loving all the attention. Haha...I've been anxiously waiting for an update...can ya tell I got a little attached??:lol-sign:

I figured he was some puppy mill/pet store scam & I hate P.J's pet stores. A few non dog-savvy relatives bought their pups from P.J's & they are definitely not up to breed standard & have behavioral issues too...

And yes, I do believe things happen for a reason. I only found this site because Laura sent me a link to pics of Smudge on here. I joined because it looked like a great site & when I saw the rescue forum....just thought I'd give it a try
