Anyone know any good dog books?

I had a 3 month trial of Audible, and then just got a $10 coupon and spent it on a couple collie books. And now trying to cancel my membership, they gave me a $20 credit, so I have $20 more to spend on books. Any suggestions?

So far I have downloaded:
*Inside of a Dog (not a fan)
*His Dog
*Lad
*Thunder Dog
*Traveling Blind

Thanks!

Ok not dog, but fascinating book by Karen Pryor: Lads Before the Wind

I got "One Good Dog" in the swap and I'm about halfway through and liking it a lot.

Dog Lost by Ingrid Lee is awesome. I just bought The Art of Raising A Puppy because Borders is going out of business. Not sure what I think of it yet.

I loved the first 90% of The Story Of Edgar Sawtelle, the last bit was so awful and at the same time depressing that it messed me up for a good while after. I literally cried reading it, probably cried myself to sleep, woke up and thought of it and cried again. I'd also start crying if I tried to tell someone about it for like a week afterwards. The thing is that I don't mind sad books, I mean I love Steinbeck, but this book just really messed me up. So yeah, a recommendation to stay away from the book, unless you quit while you're ahead and don't read the last 30-50 pages!

Bob, Son of Battle by Alfred Ollivant

The Collie: An Owner's Guide To A Happy Healthy Pet written by my mom. :D She tells several stories in the book, which are basically my childhood! :p

I second The Story Of Edgar Sawtelle. When I started reading it I didn't know it had to do with dogs and was pleasantly suprised.

I second Merle's Door. Also, "How Dogs Think" by Stanley Coren, was fascinating and insightful. (Geez, I sound like an Amazon review!)

Let's see, what else is on my bookshelf? "Broadway Tails" by Bill Berloni. Not a training book per se, but he trained the Sandy dogs for the original Annie broadway musical, and it's all about animal actors, one of my favorite subjects.

Control Unleashed. And a bunch of computer books, LOL.
