From another thread:
I know there are a few here that have tried it, or at least thought about it. I've discussed it with some chazzers before, but it's a difficult thing to explain.
What is geocaching?
In it's simplest form, it's using a GPS to locate a 'hidden' object or container.
However, it's kind of like trying to explain something much more complex. Let's use golf as an example...."You use a stick to hit a little white ball, walking around after it, and trying to get it into a hole in the ground." Sure, that's golf in it's simplest form, but does it sound like a sport that would be played and followed by millions?
I've been caching for about 2 1/2 years, who else has tried it, or knows about it, or is even just curious about it?
Also, Geocaching = win.
