I like thing names...and sometimes food names (hello, Falafel), so I'd probably call him Onion, lol.

Or Privy ....which I totally want to name a dog, but feel it belongs on a sporty dog...which I'll never have. Quandaries.

:rofl1::rofl1::rofl1::rofl1: Oh gosh! Yes!
But I don't even know if he is ever going to require a registered name.
Plus, I don't think AKC would ILP him as anything. If they didn't see him in person (he weighs 24 pounds) they would probably fall for pure Golden.
AKC has mixed breed registry now for dog sports. They don't have to look like any certain breed. That's how Zuma and I are competing in AKC events. It's the Canine Partners, http://www.akc.org/mixedbreeds/index.cfm?nav_area=mixedbreeds

Gambit's other name choices were
Tug
Gideon
Coda
Danner
Token

Argon's were
Dutch
Gadget
Caligula (Had I known then what I know now....)

My father wants to name his next dog Mutt Romney, but that might not fit. :lol-sign:

Hamilton Lint does have a nice ring to it.

Francois or Francoise (pron: Fraen-swa)

Maurice

I like some of the other names too...just thought of these two that I like. For me, it kind of depends on the breed or the type of dog it is.

<3!

It is hard. Kaia came pre-named, but Strider was nameless for several weeks until something stuck.

Speaking of hobbits, he looks like he could be a Barliman Butterbur.

Our next male, if the name fits, will be either Gandalf or Dumbledore, possibly Dobby. :)

Well, Hamilton/Sammy is not coming home with us :(

Ryan, SpringerLover, Justa and I took him on a car ride last night to my old work to see how he does out and about. He did fantastic in the car and stole a twisted pizzle off the rack, laid down on the floor content as could be with it. Then a customer came in with two big dogs and he had a pretty bad reaction. Up until this point he'd been fine with all the other dogs he had met, and had really nice body language and play skills with Justa's dogs. I don't know if it was the size of the other dogs or how they were acting (super excited to be there and straining at the leash), but I am absolutely not willing to take on another reactive/project dog. It would be unfair to Frodo, and to be honest I'm just not ready to start training back at square one.

I'm pretty heartbroken, I let myself get way way way too attached. He is such an awesome little dog. LOVES people and loves to play and cuddle. I'm glad it happened before I took him home (I honestly hadn't been worried about other dog issues after seeing him be so non-reactive to seeing dogs while out on walks), because it wouldn't have been nearly as easy to give him back, and I don't know if I would have been able to. But it still sucks. A lot. :(

I'm sorry PW--sucks when you get your heart all tangled up - and then you have to let it all go. Sounds like it is best for you, Frodo, AND Sammy--if he needs someone to work with him--best to know it now. :(
