what are the dumbest ones you've heard? i'll go first

conformation breeding preserves working ability-REALLY, then why aren't show bred dogs winning all the working events like nite hunts & KNPV

long ears & jowls help hounds scent trail better- then how do you explain curs & huntbred short eared hounds, since the old timers only bred the best workers

big wrinkles & loose skin improve a dog's survival in a fight- then why are all working bred terriers tight skinned dogs? why aren't pits wrinkled like neos? why do the oldest pics of shar peis (back when they were still pitted a lot) show a tight skinned dog nearly identical to the majority of game line APBTs?

Also purebred dogs have solid colored paw pads.

That breeding for working traits doesn't matter if you are selling them as pets. -its the working traits that define a breeds 'personality' so if you make JRTs that act like goldens JRT enthusiasts, even 'just' pet owners wouldn't be happy.

That malinois don't need to be health tested because they're such a healthy breed...and also that simply because the parents can do physically demanding work, they must have good hips.

THe thing about pitbulls having brains that were too big, so thats why they just SNAP one day and attack

putting a coat on romeo was going to make him think he was a person, and that would confuse him and turn him aggressive.

any breeder that doesnt show CANT be a good breeder.. I dont believe that. I think they should do SOMETHING, but showing doesnt have to be it.

Oh and my favorite of them all, small dogs are stupid because their heads are smaller.. less room for brains..

If the roof of your dogs mouth is black, its pure bred.. Funny, caseys was pure black. If its not, your dog isnt purebred.

The reason Dobes will turn on you is because they bred the skulls smaller and their brains grow too big (same concept as the Pit Bull with the giant brain I guess).

same goes for pit bulls. "working" dogs are, by default, healthy. somehow. except the ones who aren't.

A border collie must be black and white, any other colours means it isn't a purebred.

There are no short hair border collies.

Anything with blue eyes MUST be part husky.

Border collies need atleast 3 hours of exercise per day.

^ Huge pet peeve! No they don't! They need a lot of mental stimulation, and they need physical exercise but that doesn't mean you go to a park for 3 hours and throw a chuckit. My dogs often dont get walked. Instead, they come around with me throughout the day and go where I go, be it to the store or to the office or to the local park. I find that just being around me and out DOING things makes them happy.

A vet has convinced my roomie that ANY large breed dog should NEVER be allowed on the furniture. Otherwise, they will know they are dominant & will turn on you one day (or something equally stupid)
