You could take your dogs everywhere?

Well, maybe not EVERYWHERE, but I'm sitting here in my office and Banzai's butt is against the wall with his head resting on my left foot. Then there is my chair, obviously where I am. Then Bella's butt is against my chair and then Buddy is against her head with his paws reaching out the door. LOL. It's a Three B and Mom chain.

These dogs love me and it just melts my heart. I look down and there they are, I get up to go to another room and they follow. I want them to go to school with me and keep me company in my lectures and I want them to touch others lives as they've touched mine.

Sadly, that won't happen, but one can dream, right?

I wish that all the time! I would be able to take Charlie more places if he weren't a freaking cat killer!

That's a perfect way to explain it, Barb. Well, except for when they get all worked up and THEY are crazy, lol. :D

I used to be able to bring the boy into work with me. It was way better than leaving him home and letting him get into trouble. (He's VERY good at that!)

I'd LOVE to be able to take da boyz with me. I used to work at a ski area & in the summer we'd all take turns bringing our dogs into work with us. It was so nice having Lucy with me. She'd mostly sleep by me & then take off for a little tour around the office to see if anyone wanted to scratch a sweet old girl or there might be a treat for her hanging around.

I know what you mean BP.......I see these dog training shows where people are having a hard time getting their dog to fit in at the office and what not. I ALWAYS think, GOSH........it would be SO cool to work where your dog could go too :) Those people are so lucky, unless of course you are NOT a dog lover, but then those people shouldn't work there, LOL

I think dogs that pass the CGC should be allowed to go into more places where dogs that haven't passed the CGC can. I mean, not EVERYWHERE, but just MORE places.

Yes I do. I mean, lots of times I have to leave her home just because I am doing errands and won't leave her in the car ever.

But I know there are important reasons why I can't take her everywhere. Health regulations, allergic people etc. But still, I wish I could.

I'm lucky - my dog does get to go pretty much everywhere with me. Granted, that says something about my life - not a whole lot of restaurants, shopping, and movies;) . It's pretty much just work-barn-agility, and she's welcome at all of them.

I want them to go to school with me and keep me company in my lectures and I want them to touch others lives as they've touched mine.
Isn't that the truth? There are moments with Meg that bring me so much happiness, I wish everyone everywhere had an animal they felt that connection to. It is such an amazing feeling; I guess we are the lucky ones, who know it and get to experience it daily.

I wish my dogs could go everywhere with me. They go ALOT of places, including work, but I wish I could take them when I go like shopping or to the zoo or whatever.

That's interesting Aussie, and it tweaked me. I find people's kids very annoying in many places. Enough to just want to leave. I'm sure some people on this board can relate to this. Somebody's precocious kid may be cute to them but they are nothing but a pain in the arse to just about everybody else. I'm sure many people feel the same way about other people's dogs as well. If I had to go enclosed places where EVERYBODY had their kids with them, I would lose my mind. So I can relate to those people who would feel the same way about EVERYBODY having their dogs with them in public places.

We imagine the ideal, such as a department store full of sweet, obedient dogs with their responsible owners, when in fact, what we would have is chaos, dog poop and lots of noise and fur everywhere. Let's face it, one obnoxious kid can ruin the day, so can one out of control dog. The only difference is kids don't shed, and nobody is allergic to them, well....I'm not so sure if I'm not allergic to them. lol.

why do they get sick in the car? i have a 3 year old silkshire who gets sick everywhere if he's in the car too long (sometimes that's a half hour, sometimes its 10 minutes).

my vet suggested gravol 15- 20 minutes before we leave, and sometimes that works. is it nerves? motion sickness?
