To keep a long story short, we stopped by the animal shelter the other day only to find this little guy playing with the employees. Turns out he's a puppy mill pup they rescued from a pet store after no one bought him. He's going on 6 months old, and a dear friend of mine has the resources and experience to take on a pup who is potentially sick and definitely needing some training and control. I would help with the raising and training as well. He's a good boy and very sweet, just a little out of control. Fixable since he's so smart! For the full story go here:

Anyway, I stopped by today to visit him and see how he is and I actually remembered to bring my camera! So present to you...Dobey!

Finally taking a rest under the bench...

And then he got my shoelace!

I finally tuckered the little fella out!

Now here's just a quick video I caught of him....he's not attacking me! I had a toy he was trying to get.

My friend and I may take him. My friend isn't a chazzer. He'll live at her house but I'm going to be heavily involved in the training process because he'll need a lot of work. So it'll kind of be like a partnership. If it all works out, that is.

He's super cute. Typical monster Doberboy. He reminds me of my heart dog. I hope you don't get too attached and then not get to have him in your life. That would be hard for me to share. At any rate, it sounds like he's one lucky pup to be going to a good home.

He's a great-looking boy! Can't wait to hear whether you and your friend are going to get him.

Thanks for the comments all. He is a monster, but he's the cutest monster I've ever seen! :p

Doberluv: I'm definitely going to get attached, but I have two males in the house, and one is a teeny tiny Pap who thinks he's an alpha. It just wouldn't be a safe idea to bring this male dobe into the house. But when(if) my job in helping to train and socialize him is done, I'll be happy just to see him settle in with his family and start a happy life. I know I'll still always get to visit him, I won't expect them to share him forever. :) Thanks for the comment!

We have his brother! I was doing some research and came across your forum. Sire is Big Paws Mac Attack and Dam is Arnwine's Ahna of Shaver Creek. Any info you can share would be appreciated :)

Old thread, I don't think they're around anymore. Unfortunately your dog (and the original poster's dog in question) are either from a puppy mill or a backyard breeder.
