Artimis is a strange dog, I've just gotta say!

If there is an airplane flying overhead (or helicopter or whatever) do your dogs stop, look up at it, and watch it as it flies by?

Artimis does! I've never seen a dog do this! He's so aware of everything around him, I could just imagine what he's thinking lol

But he looks so thoughtful and intent. I know he's watching the airplane because as soon as we hear it he will stop, or walk and watch if I force him forward, and stare very intently at it as it flies across the sky until it is out of site. :lol-sign: weird dog!

Tucker does it with helicopters but not airplanes. He did do it during the thunder storm this week. I was impressed that he could tell it came from the sky.

Neither Chloe nor Rose will, but Sadie used to do it all the time. Every time a plane or helicopter would fly over she'd stop whatever she was doing and watch it fly by until she couldn't see it/hear it any longer.

It kind of amuses me that Rose ignores the planes and such, because she FLIPS when she sees a hawk or buzzard flying low. LOL

Yup. Kharma also keeps track of the moon and gets upset if she can't locate it where it was the night before. She likes for things to be where they are supposed to be. ;) Strangely, if she checks and the night is cloudy she shrugs it off.

Yep, Quinn is very observant of things in the sky. She's the first dog I've had like this. I won't even hear or see a plane until I notice her watching it go by. She watches planes, gliders, birds, bugs - anything that catches her eye.

Sam does sometimes if it's low down and loud. I think he thinks they're bugs because he tries to catch them. :p

Hot air balloons get noticed. Airplanes/helicopters/etc do not. Weird dogs.

Yep, Violet does. She also watches/follows birds flying in the sky, no matter how high up. Sometimes they scare her, lol!

Jack didn't pay any attention to planes until we had him at a parade that had a fighter jet flyover the scared the bajeezus out of him (I felt awful, I didn't know there would be a fly over). Ever since then he does look up at planes--at first he seemed a little uneasy about it, but when he realized they weren't the "screaming" kind he now just calmly takes note of them....
