And wow what a 10 years it has been.

Bestdogever!

10 Years ago Twist had puppies in a basket as the whelping pen wasn't finished. (lol I said I was sure she would go that day!) First litter I had as a breeder.






Darien (so young) and Puppies. Learning and exposure for all.




Her litter name was Sausage cause she was a round little sausage of a puppy. She has been highly food motivated from the start

It wasn't until Dekka was horribly mauled by her littermates that we really bonded. Looking back it was quite obvious that she had choose me and I hadn't realized it.

It was this that made Dekka the dog reactive snarky pants that she is. HOwever she has always loved puppies.





She liked Scandal quite well even with Scandal trying to poke her eye out


We started dog sports. Snip and Dekka learning racing as puppies

More memory lane...


Growing up on the farm there was so much to explore


We started obedience (I have always wished this was higher quaility)


We started agility lol


We kept at it




At home we chilled with relatives human and canine






Dekka has always enjoyed destroying things. The size of the ball only adds to the challenge

She spent a lot of time just being part of the family




And we went places

We stared at cats


We were booth dog quite a few times


We went to the "go swim"


a lot




When I wouldn't take her she would find her own go swim


Sometimes we would go to the cottage


Its all good as long as its warm and there is water

We ended up at the strangest places sometimes




We headed to the US
Where we found more water (this is Delaware Bay)


In Indianna


No water in Illinois but we did scale the fence in the back ground


Water was found in Tennessee


Also found in a Hollow in Tennessee was a pack of dogs we did not eat (mostly)


THere was a JRTCA trial in Pennsylvania


and more water

Lots of camping


We tried out luck being a Chesapeake bay retriever at Chesapeake Bay.


Found a good view in NY


We had puppies. At the time Chaz followed along and that turned out to be a good thing when she needed an emergency C section

My little hippo




All three grew up to be lovely dogs through tragically two died young. Both to cars




(I still miss Kat deeply and its been 4 years)



Though it had a rough start motherhood was good

We did film work


(BAFTA nominated short horror)

Initial shooting was brutally cold. My dog puts up with a lot








And doing a few make up shots in the spring guess what we found?
Water!!

She has slept on my homework


More than once


We have competed and hung out with friends


Made my day better by being in it



I shall stop spamming the forum with Dekka pics (unless I run across some other ones I want to share... )



I love this little dog so much and hope we have many many more years together

What a great 10 years together so far! I really enjoyed all of the photos and learned a few things. :) I didn't know she had been in so many films!!
