Crate pad - what do you use?

If your dog sleeps in a crate, what do you use for bedding? Old sheets or thrift store stuff or official crate pads from the pet store or something else? Thanks!

Depends upon the age. Till the age of two it was old towels. She'd shred them not eat them. but shredding beds wasn't impressing me.
Got to 2, was good, has a pretty grey one with bolsters that is soft from petsmart was on sale..
At just over 2.5 she's good enough that the crate lives in my room, but often I leave her in my closed bedroom when I leave.

We use fleece blankets and cheap comforters from target and the like.

Ripley has a soft, fluffy bed in his crate, Dakota has a padded blanket and Eve has towels and will continue to have towels until she stops shredding them.

It really depends on what is clean. If there is a fleece bed clean, will throw it in there, and if not, towels.

I use old blankets. They're cheap, soft, comfortable, easy to clean, and if they get shredded it doesnt kill my wallet! LOL

Go to auctions folks !! Rugs , towels , sheets , quilts ! More than you;d ever need for $5.! I never had a cage , but always needed bedding . One garage sale I went to for them , I saw a hanging wrought iron hanging lamp ...$20 and I offered $15 , It's hanging in my dining area .... it still has it;s Italian made tag and must be worth over $200 .

Right now Orson has a quilt in his crate........lucky he has never been a bed shredder.........only his stuffies die a slow painful death around here

Phoebe doesn't have or need a crate, at age 7 1/2 she is more than dependable and trust worthy, so she just sleeps on her little doggy bed

Mikey has an old comforter, Mav has two rugs but they won't stay put Sakari has rugs too and Nanook has a blankie.

Tanog has a fleece throw in her crate, and the others have two cotton sheets.

Loki has a plushy $30 Petsmart pillow. When she was a puppy, it was blankets and whatever I had laying around.

Lucy has a rectangle nesting bed that fits perfectly in there. I take it out during the day because she loves that little bed.

Some have beds, some have old sheets & towels, & some have lost the privalege completely therefore they have nothing.
