Oh yes. As soon as Halloween was over I loaded up my ipod with my Christmas music lol. I can't wait for the 24/7 music to start on the radio station here.

I TRY to not put the decorations out until after thanksgiving but sometimes I can't wait and put the tree up a little early lol.

Having Hannah around just makes it that much better. She is really into the spirit of the whole thing. Santa, the music, the movies, driving around looking at decorated houses, etc. I can't wait until our Elf on the Shelf, Clyde, returns to visit us or the holidays lol. I always have fun setting him up in various situations for her to find the each day.

In july they had a Christmas in July Christmas music lunch hour on the radio station the one day and I was so stupidly giddy and then we came home and watched National lampoons Christmas vacation. I'm always up for a little Christmas :D

I love going Christmas caroling with our church and this year we are putting together a whole bunch of food boxes for people in need to give out as our ministry this year so that's going to be awesome. Our Christmas eve service is always a beautiful celebration of our Lord, Jesus Christ and is just really special.

I love all of it. I'm ready for it NOW.

I do our Christmas shopping all year round when I find things on sale and such... Really eases the financial burden of doing it all within a few weeks.

My neighbor was selling off what turned out to be a Suburban load of boys clothes and toys (think big Tonka trucks, action figures, Hotwheels sets....everything x2 because she has twins), and I bought it al for just $30! I haven't even had a chance to go through it, but with our vacation the week before Christmas, Christmas will be slim this year. So I'll be choosing quite a bit from all the stuff to keep for Santa gifts.

But heck, we only stayed at the church for 10 minutes on Halloween because it was storming and so jammed packed on the inside that you could hardly move. Each boy got two little pieces of candy, and oh how excited they were! My boys are just as excited over being given 2 pennies as they are $2, and they don't ask for a lot for Christmas...usually just 2-3 things each, and they're usually small items.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS time. It was always the most magical time growing up.

I am SO SO SO looking forward to this year's Christmas, because I actually get to spend it with my parents again. The last two years, it was just Dan and me.

We are all going to S.C. and have rented a little beach cottage. That's our present to each other. Other than that, no presents, no stress about money, what to buy who in a world where we all have what we need... Just enjoying each other. I CAN'T WAIT.

Luckily we don't have any kids in the family. It's tough to explain to kids things like "money is tight." It's just a concept they don't quite understand. And it's also tough because of course we want to give people all the amazing things they desire and we believe they deserve. Years ago I thought I was going to get a new job at the radio station and it would result in more money and I had all kinds of ideas of the great things I would be able to buy my parents... it didn't pan out so here I am unable to even know I can pay my mortgage every month, let alone buy them cool things I would love to be able to give. I try not to let my broke factor get in the way but of course it hovers.

People this year will probably be getting homemade gifts. I saved a bunch of my glass peanut butter jars so I can repackage things into them, like BBQ rub for the men and bath salts for the women.

Yeah. I'm not sure there's any difference, really. Everyone gets a poppy by donation, there's a moment of silence, war memorials on TV, in schools they have an assembly with songs and ppts and speeches.
Yep, exactly. It's a personal choice to reflect on Remembrance Day before indulging in festivities leading up to Christmas. Here in Canada we don't honour our military as regularly as other countries.

Christmas had always been my favorite time of year. That was till my kids were gone. Every Christmas then became the most painful time of year. Last year it was made a little easier with Nico being here with us. But this year will be even better with Isabeau home too for it. Fingers crossed that next year will be the biggest Christmas celebration ever because if all goes right everyone should be back home for it. For me it is not the gifts. It is my kids being home and with us that is the best part.

This is the point where I start thinking about Christmas... planning ahead for gifts, cards, and traveling. I generally don't start getting indoor decorations out until Thanksgiving or the first sticking snow (whichever happens first). That said, outdoor lighting and the Christmas tree don't go up until after Thanksgiving, regardless.

I haven't broken out the Christmas music yet, but it could happen any time now. I love Christmas music in general. Especially because I have some really music-nerdy Christmas albums. lol

But yeah, in short, now is when I start planning Christmas, though it won't be until later in the month that I actually start acting upon most of it.

I'm not terribly offended by the early onset of Christmas. I wouldn't say I agree with it, but it doesn't really bother me. Unless I'm trying to find fall-themed stuff and it's already been replaced with the red and green. :p

I like the season...when its in season ;) Otherwise its just TOO much and TOO long.

I have started making some of my gifts (every year I plan on doing homemade but dont start in time) but with the calendars due in any day, shipping those is going to take a lot of time. I am making soaps, sugar scrubs, homemade washcloths, and hopefully some jalapeno and tomatillo jelly...not totally sure yet.

Not until we got our own place did Christmas get exciting for me. I am going to try to hold out on putting up our tree until the 1st of December. Like many other, Thanksgiving first!

I'd be super excited if we were in our new house for Christmas!

Its christmas everyday in our house!

The tree has been up in the family room for like 8 years!

But i love christmas and putting all the other decorations up. I don't have family close so we usually go out for thanksgiving dinner then snuggle up with movies.
