Chiggers ate my hubby and daughter

I remember a thread not that long ago about chiggers and I had said I have never been bit by them. I still haven't. But my husband and daughter are both covered in chigger bites. My hubby just has them on his legs and feet. My daughter has them all over her back, thighs, butt, arms, legs, basically everywhere but her face.

From what I've been reading you really can't do anything about them except calm the itch. I actually thought she had chicken pox and was ready to rush her to the doctor's. I'm the only one without chigger bites. So I get to take care of my chigger bitten family.

Victor will tell you the first three days are the worst. He had over a hundred bites. I used Tiger balm (has a lot of tea tree oil in it) to stop the itch and stop the licking so we could all get some sleep plus i gave him benedryl. I hope your family feels better soon..chiggers affect different people differently. I get a little red spot no big deal but my mom and Victor both looked like they have bee stings it swells up so.

ick. I had never heard of chiggers before.. sounds nasty. I hope they heal quickly.
