Yayy!!!!! I'm so excited for you :) Can't believe that you'll have your puppy in just a few months. Fingers crossed for a large healthy litter! Do you have the pedigree handy? The parents are both gorgeous!
 
Looks like lots of good puppy news, and GSDs are catching up to BCs... Year of the Herders indeed.

Two days til we find out whether Mira will be providing some balance with gundog pups... hoping for good news!
 
Everyone, meet AK's The Watchman, aka Pike! He's a 12 week old Miniature American Shepherd. He's getting along great with Nola. He's from herding dogs, and I got to watch his dad and aunt work cows!

Whoa, wait, what? I thought you were getting a standard poodle. Congrats! He's beautiful. :D
 
The Spoo bitch I wanted a pup from didn't take. :( She wasn't scheduled for another litter until next June, so I went with Pike's breeder. Couldn't be happier!
 
Pike is killing me! What a gorgeous little pup!

Our progesterone testing marathon and surgical AI (frozen semen) were successful -- Mira was confirmed pregnant :).

She is happy and relaxed, hasn't missed a meal, and is just extra snuggly. Still playing with Monkey every day and demanding work and being her usual Helper Dog self :)

(We won't have a good count until X-ray time, but at this stage all pups are spoken for.)
