Each LGD breed has a different in standard requirement.
Some of these new to US breeds are more of a race of dogs vs a purebred like a Greay PRY today. SO variances in temperament are high depending what the breed wants.
Some breeders are breeding OUT the strong distrust of strangers for show dogs.
Some are breeding figthing dogs that are human friendly but dog insane.
Some are breeding farm family dogs that with socialization and proper selection of breeding has dogs that can be friendly to strangers that are in your presence that you introduce.
They should not be dog aggressive or people aggressive .
They are territory aggressive - protective - defensive.
Which means my owner where ever she is is MINE dont mess with her.
My sheep, my cats, My house, My yard!
Dont mean they wont kill a stray cat that tresspasses they will
Its their territory and all that come must be intro into the pack by the owner.
No reaching over the fence to come into the yard with the same dog that kissed you
yesteraday when you visited the owner.

No one should agiate these dogs untill they are mature which can be years and then pass a test for stability this dog passed a CGN.
We also have dogs that do rally well some are aloof some are friendly.
But it took work to get them that way.
ASD's and Great Prys are better bet as working LGDS.
Established breeders with great backgrounds.
But most breed out the human protection drive due to liablity
