Yesterday I found a cat sitting outside my doorstep. I took her around to all the neighbors and no one recognized her... I put up signs on the two doors to the complex, but no one has called yet - it's been more than 24 hours, you'd think if your cat was missing you'd at least leave your apartment or check the doors for any Found signs.
She looks to be well cared for. She is in good weight, she's declawed, I'm guessing she's spayed based on her "spay belly" that most altered kitties seem to get), and she seems very friendly. Ronin is in a tizzy over her, so it's been a bit more stressful here since Miss Kitty has been here.
We have a few concerns, however.
1. She hasn't eaten anything since she got here. We've offered her Evangers 100% Rabbit (canned dog food, but it's pure rabbit so it's not like it could hurt her), Merrick's canned cat food, canned mackerel, and dry Fancy Feast (it was the only thing the store had tonight. The only thing she touched was the Fancy Feast, and only a few kibbles which she vomited back up.
2. She's only peed once or twice, no poop.
Is this cause for alarm? She's not our cat, so we don't want to rush her to the e-vet over this. Tomorrow I'm going to take her down to a vet clinic to have her scanned for a chip. If no one calls for her, I really don't know what to do - she's a gorgeous cat, but I *cannot* have a cat with Ronin in the house, his prey drive goes crazy around cats... he whines all the time.
I think she's a purebred Snowshoe, it's not every day you see a cat like this, with bright blue eyes:
