Since mixes can play...
Cora, Border Collie/Lab mix. She's my family's new dog, although I am apparently in charge of training her before I move out this summer. Lucky me. LOL I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off for quite some time now, but it just hit me that I have a
puppy (granted, an older puppy) that I get to play and work with. So hopefully we'll be making some strides on her behavior rather soon. Before we got her she had no training and no socialization and was either in a crate or in a 6' privacy fenced yard, and since my parents have had her she's just been a crazy farm dog running around like a mad thing. So I'll have my work cut out for me, I think, but it'll be fun.
Cora is approximately ten months old, she stands around 18" or so, and weighs probably around 40-45 pounds. She's almost doubled in size since we first got her, but she's still all legs!
She loves to play ball and the wubba is her favorite toy ever. Unfortunately, she doesn't really understand the concept of fetch and would much rather just run around in circles with the toy and play with herself while I'll look at her with interest. If I stop watching her, she stops playing. Frisbees scare the living snot out of her.
She shows way too much interest in the neighborhood livestock - I'm actually worried that if she gets loose she might run them. Hopefully we never have to find out the answer to that theory.
She's athletic, very smart, loves to run and chase things, loves to BOUNCE, and shows her Lab side when she plunges in to every body of water we come across. Her leash manners are steadily improving - no longer need the prong to stop her from choking herself. She's finally starting to understand a few more commands, now, and pay closer attention to me.

Last month, I think, before a walk:
I really need to get new pictures of her. She looks so much more mature now. And she finally isn't wearing that ratty collar anymore.
