Sparks movie thread of course inspired this. I was just thinking.. I eventually get tired of watching even my favorite movies. But books.. there are some books that I can just read over and over and never get tired of them.

Where the Red Fern Grows is one. I read it for the first time in 5th grade and I prolly read it about once a year. I cry every. single. time. I know it's sort of juvenile but I just love it.

Chronicles of Narnia. I've read these prolly 5 times in my life so far and I'll prolly read them a bunch more.

Pride and Prejudice.

Jane Eyre.

Newer favorites that haven't been in my life long enough to read more than twice but that I will probably read many many times: The Poisonwood Bible, The Lovely Bones, Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal (and other Christopher Moore books... freaking hysterical), Time Traveler's Wife

Sooo... I know I'm not the only diehard bookworm here. Spill it.

I re read like people re watch movies. I think I have read clan of the cave bear at LEAST 10 times so far. Heck I have read the Malazan books of the fallen at least 3 times now (and they are relatively recent) I have read Anne McCaffrey's books, most at least twice. LOL but for me thats normal. To me they need to be a one a year re read to be up on my list..

i hear ya on the reread. I reread everything at least 2x's.

The earth children series by auel is in my top favorites also.
I read Clan of the Cavbear in highschool and was hooked. i so hope she writes one after The plains of passage.
I read everything from true crimes to fantasy to sci fi to romance with some nonfiction thrown in.

also another fav. series is the wheel of time ones.

I cant honestly pick a favorite book .

For me, the bible is a book I read endlessly...there is so much in it. God hides things in there and it's so cool when you find a hidden gem!

I think it's pretty cool that I must have heard the same passages preached as sermons 5+ times, but every pastor picks different things out of the passages. There really is a lot of depth to it all.

The Earth's Children series by Jean M. Auel
Everything by Robin Hobb (Farseer Series/Liveship Traders/Soldier's Son trilogy)
Some of the Anne Rice books (Interview, Memnoch the Devil) and the earlier books in the Anita Blake series.

I'm already re-reading "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss because I know I missed a bunch of stuff the first time around. Very amazing read and can't wait until the second book comes out! *impatient*

I go through books a lot faster than I buy them, so end up re-reading a lot. My #1 would be the Harry Potter books. I've read each of them at least 80 times.

There are a lot more but I'm drawing a major blank. I'll post them later.

Robin Hobb's books, particularly the Assassin's Apprentice Trilogy. I do hate the final book in the Tawny Man Trilogy though.

George RR Martin's books

Simon R Green's books, particularly the Deathstalker series.

If I make it all the way through a book there is a very good chance it will go into my obsessive re-reading phase. Lol. I read waaaaaay too much to not re-read books. I'd go broke trying to buy enough books to keep up with my habit.

I'll say the Bible as well. I like to compare different translations while I'm at it.

As far as novels and such, I love "Good Omens" by Gaiman and Pratchet. I've probably read that at least 30 times and have owned at least 5 copies. They keep getting loaned/lost/worn out.
