Apparently the original owner filed a police report and restraining order against the breeder so....I'm thinking she's a real crazy, but who knows. I'm hoping I'll hear back soon.

I can't even tell. I think the original owner is just clueless. I mean she could be making stuff about the death threats but I kind of believe it. After all the supersleuth emailing I've had to do, if I end up with this dog, he better be totally worth it :p

This whole story just seems so shady to me. To many things just don't add up, starting with the pics of Charlie romping around in a backyard big enough to romping around in, but then he supposedly never really got exercise but a walk on a leash.

We were told that he had a small backyard. In the pictures, you can't really tell if the yard is big enough to run around in or not. Getting most of his exercise on leash is different from NEVER being off leash.

Oh yes, a 20 foot square of grass is a TON of room. And honestly, this "photo shoot" of Charlie was a rare occasion my friend had a day off and her parents/siblings were on vacation, he didn't get that kind of stimulation/play every day. When the family was home, and/or she was at work, Charlie was in his pen.

My friend is actually really upset about all of this, and yes, the breeder has been giving threats. And if I'd have known what a nutter this breeder was, and the second owner for that matter, I'd never have posted about him in the original forum I posted this at. From what my friend had told me about the second owner wanting rid of him, I didn't think she'd go wacky when she was told she'd possibly found somewhere for him.

I apologize for all the confusion, was only trying to help out a dog that IMO was and has the potential to be a great pet.

Found out what that was all about. The breeder and second owner were "friends" of my friend on facebook and were posting in their status back and fourth about "lynching" my friend and saying things like "I'll bring the rope". My friend was upset/pissed off about it, but didn't do anything. Her bf however, who is a cop, saw what was being said and took things further.
However innocent and "jokingly" it was meant, uttering death threats is punishable, and could result in jail time. Of course my friend isn't going to go that far, but wanted to protect herself somewhat. That is why the restraining order was placed, and both women got a visit and warning from the OPP regarding the threats.

I really am shocked that things have turned out the way they have. My friend showed me the texts and emails she received Christmas day about the second owner wanting her to take Charlie back. Apparently it was a one day only demand, because after being told there "may" be a new home for him only a couple of days later, she'd changed her tune.
