Hi Chazhound; it's been awhile (again)

Boots is going to be six years old at the end of next month. Looking forward to another six years and more with my beautiful baby girl. Just a few photos and a quick hello to those who remember us.

Saying goodbye to a friend unexpectedly... had to put my dog to sleep at 4am

I haven't been on here much over the past 3 years so I'm not sure how much this post matters. I just need to get it out. A lot has changed, a lot has stayed the same but for the second time in... way too soon, I had to say goodbye to a best friend again last night. The worst night of my life...

    A few Great Dane pics

It's been a while. Here are a few pictures of Boots. She's 26 months old, 33" and 145 lbs now. Excuse my bad picture-taking technique. I haven't been able to get behind the camera for a few months. Hope everyone is doing well..

Just a few from the past month

A few from the past 4 or 5 weeks I believe It was fun trying to keep Boots off her feet, 2 days after surgery and I caved to her romping and playing with the neighborhood dogs. I'm amazed every time I look at her; hard for me to remember she's still a pup. Love her so much.

    Boots is under the knife

Just dropped her off this morning at 6 for her gastropexy (stomach tacking) and spay. I know she'll be alright but I hate that "why are you leaving me here" look. I know where my mind will be all day. Will be allowed to pick her up at 6 tonight but the poor girl will need to spend probably 2...

Boots' Dam, Sire & Aunt + Pup pics + The most massive dog you'll ever see..

As we will be getting our next show Harlequin male out of Judy Gray @ Graysondane Kennels in 12-18 months it seems fitting that I finally post a few of these pictures. Over the last year and a half we've talked, become friends and tried to get a dog out of Judy but have suffered through 4 failed...

    They're standing! Likuta @ 10 weeks

Made a promise on another forum that I would post some ear pics as soon as they stood pretty decent before re-taping. I took the tapes off and let them breathe for 2.5 hours before coming back and finding them still standing well but starting to flop. Encouraged, hopefully they're good to go and...

The new ball of terror - er, puppy

We've been looking for almost 1 year now for a show prospect Harlequin Male and we finally got our guy, couldn't be happier. Went through 5 failed breeding's and had two dogs who were placed in homes who had previously lost dogs from previous litters so it wasn't much fun. On top of that it is...

Canyon & Inkpots - Mountains create climbers; the top is always longer than you think

Carefully carved canyons. Rushing white water crashing with a thousand tons of pressure against the jagged rocks below and a peaceful stream gently humming along with the sounds of nature all around. Doesn't get much better than that; I don't think you can find a better place to take mans best...

    Dragons on the deck!

Also brought the Dragons along. First is Skittles, Cocoa, Cactus, Cleo then finally Twitch. These guys have more personality in them than you'd ever believe. Great creatures and Boots loves playing with them too. They don't enjoy it as much though. Actually, I lied. Twitch is thrown in the mix...

    Snakes in the grass!

Took the Snakes out to my buddy’s house and snapped a few quick pictures on his rain starved, withering poor lawn. Spotted Python is Boo, Ball Python is Copper. Both of them are boys. Snakes are actually my first love, very fascinating creatures.

A few more from our hike in the gorgeous Canadian Rockies

I left these out of the first thread due to Boots not appearing in the majority of them but figured what the heck. - I was originally kind of skeptical about bringing Boots along due to her heat and the obvious ramifications it could have with the wildlife all around us; no bear spray on...

Happy 1st Birthday Boots! (& The most beautiful place on Earth)

It's been a while.. 2 months almost. Finally got home to see my big girl a few days ago. Today is her first birthday and every day has been just wonderful, I look forward to at the very least, 10 more long years with her; grandma is 13 and going on strong still which bodes well. Poor girl...

She's turning into quite the woman

I haven't seen my girl in about a month now as I've been tied up across the continent finalizing some purchase of real estate and running the business. Since it's basically a longer term trip without a set or firm return date, I had to get my good buddy and family to look after "Boots" on short...

Come to Canada to get away with Canibalism & Murder!

Dropping in quick here. No jail for man in bus beheading - Americas- msnbc.com This makes me sick. Sick of my Country. Sick of our justice system. Just plain sick. This guy stabbed a man repeatedly, 50.. 60 times. Cut off his head. Cut off his ear and other parts of his face and put...

More alone time, Boots and I

Didn't plan on taking pics but figured what the heck. After the dog park, Boots and I wandered off to what has quickly become her favourite spot to visit when I choose to spend some one on one time with her. No dogs, no distractions and best of all no other souls in sight! After some...

    Turning the Great Dane loose...

= Trouble... nah, just kidding. About a week ago it was +10 up here for a few days; crazy seasonal high in mid January that broke a 100 year old record so I decided to go out and snap a few quick ones while I had Boots out. My family has been bugging me incessantly for about 4 months now to...
