Who would be miserable regarding their SO's dog? Unless the dog is routinely pooping on their head or something, lol.
Today's vent: I work with one of those "I'm extra awesome, behold my opinion on all things" people. She's decided that, because she wants to eventually pay for her wedding (she's not engaged yet, but if they're both seemingly ok with this, whatever) she needs all the hours in the world. She usually gets at least 36, same as most everyone else. She decided this isn't enough and made a stink at our last meeting.
Every year it is slow around the holidays, so we've had a few slow days the past two weeks. She convinced the owner of the clinic that we must be overstaffed, so they sent a tech to work as a receptionist from now on. This will leave us with two openers most days, which is really understaffed.Meanwhile, we have like 8 receptionists...who has 8 receptionists ?! This means we'll have to come in at 6 most days (we come in later if we're adequately staffed and/or don't have a lot of animals). We are not allowed overtime at all, which will mean anyone who comes in for their shifts early (as she often does) will eventually have to leave early at some point lest they go over hours. Which will leave us a person short. Particularly this week when it is a holiday week. When told of this, she said "Well, it's good that she is going up front. She's not reaching her potential as a tech"...
Mind you, this is the person who tried to say that, because she always signs up for two holidays per season (we are only required to do one) that she should, whenever she has kids, be exempt from doing anymore holidays.
I am always flabbergasted that someone who cannot spell "bowl" has any clout, opinion wise. This is not even a head tech...
