Potentially, anyway. And this one cannot come home with me as my schedule is too **** crazy, so when his time his up he'll be off to the shelter.
He was scheduled for boarding in at work for about a week and a half. His owner called two days after his scheduled pick up date and asked if we would be able to board him until September 1st. She said she was stuck out of state with no money (she lost her credit card) and couldn't get him until then. When dogs stay longer than two weeks we require a down payment on the account. She already had a previous balance with us due to two checks bouncing and currently has about $500 worth of charges she's going to have to pay. She was supposed to have made a payment on his account last Friday and now, almost a week later, we haven't heard anything back from her.
This sounds eerily familiar to Kiba's story. *sigh*
Bubba is an intact male eight month old Husky/Pit Bull/WTF? mix. He has to be the weirdest dog I have ever laid eyes on. At first I thought he was ugly, but he's grown on me. :lol-sign:
When his owner dropped him off she stated that he wasn't good with other dogs, but I haven't really seen any aggression from him. Hesitant and unsure and in need of socialization, yes, but not aggression. He does NOT like the other intact male dog we currently have boarding, though. Again, I have seen much worse, but when he gets barked and snarled at through the fence he'll bark right back.
He has no manners at all and doesn't know any commands. But even though his training is a bit lacking, he is a very sweet boy. Friendly, likes to play, not too hyper, doesn't seem to have any HA issues, fairly quiet, doesn't mark, doesn't seem to be destructive. He had some kennel cleanliness issues there for a bit, but we've moved him into a new cage and are taking him out in the grass after he gets done eating and I don't think he's had an accident at all since we moved him and started the new walking regime.
So, if anyone is potentially interested in him or knows of someone who might be...stay tuned. He may be in need of a home by the end of the month. Cross your fingers that things work out for him.
And pictures! These were taken with my cellphone and he wouldn't stop moving so they aren't the best, but they're better than nothing!
