I am still sending prayers for Zero. I hope you get some answers today. If they don't figure it out and let him go home I would take him to another vet. I know how hard this is for you, the not knowing what is going on is the worst. GOD Bless you and Zero!

I picked Zero up from the vets again tonight and spoke for a good while with them. We went over the whole series of xrays with the barium and it passed through his digestive tract flawlessly.

I should mention that Zero is on a raw diet and in the xrays yesterday the vet found some bones in his small intestine. The xrays today showed the same bones in the same location as yesterday which leads everyone to think they're sort of stuck, and the discomfort is what's making Zero want to throw his food up.

I've been told to carry on feeding him tiny amounts of gastro throughout the day in hopes that it will fix itself. If not, they're going to contact a radiologist and we'll go from there.

I'm hoping the barium is soothing enough to help some food go through a little easier. I'm giving him half a tablespoon of gastro blended with water since he has no trouble keeping water down. Hopefully it will work..

How long ago was it that Zero ate the bones? Brody had an impaction from bones but I believe at the time of his x-rays the bones had moved to his large intestine. It seems to me if he ate the bones more then a few days ago they would be moved further along his intestinal tract by now.

Well the whole reason it's a problem is because it is stuck in place. Or so they presume. He has rather large fragments (in length) lodged in one spot. I'm not exactly sure how it's going to finally move but i just have to wait it out a bit.

I hope they can do something for him soon. They ended up doing enemas on Brody but I don't know if that will be possible with Zero. I will keep him in my prayers and I hope he feels better soon.

Thank you! I will still update you with his progress seeing as how i am still very unsure of how tonight will go. I fed him later than usual, with a blended mix of water and gastro so it will throw off the time when he usually starts getting upset. Hopefully he will be thrown off and sleep through it and i can get something into his intestinal track and maybe push the bones through??

Are the bones he ate chicken or beef? And you did not warm up the bones in any way like even with a microwave before he ate them?

So Zero has made it through the night without vomiting. I am going to take him to work with me today so he can sleep some more. The poor guy is so exhausted. I'm also going to try a tiny bit of the food mix i made for him last night and hope something gets pushed through.

I never cook any of zeros food. It always defrosts in the fridge. I'm thinking it was a turkey bone because i have been giving him some turkey legs and the bones in that are pretty large and fracture off in longer pieces and he may not have chewed them completely.

Yea I have had problems with turkey bones too. The bones are thicker and do not digest as quickly as chicken bones. If not digested quicker the bones dry out making them hard.
For a few days I would just run raw chicken in a food processor. At least its the same diet but ground up.

I was thinking the same thing, i dont want him on this gastro for too long and if it's just because bones are stuck then the raw really isn't affecting his stomach. Thanks for the tips :)

So here are a couple updated pictures for you.

Here is the canned food the vet has him on.

Here is what we do with it...........

And this is him at the office with me this morning, he is "pretty in pink" and oddly enough he matches the Barbie blanket he has here. I don't butch him up at all! ;)

I will continue to monitor him and keep you all posted!

I wonder if some plain canned pumpkin will help at all. I doubt it would hurt.
