Working on the theory that she will have her puppies at the least convinent time possible, I sat up most of last night on and off and slept in this morning (well, afternoon) till 2:30....

Every bitch I've ever had whelped in the wee hours of the morning - we like to call it the Collie Whelping Curse! :rofl1:

How well I remember !!! After one litter and being up over 24 hours I took the Mom and litter in . My vet's wife had been in a car wreck and when I asked about her , he laughed and said she looked better than I did !

Yep, 4. Maybe 4:30 but definitely not 6 which would be a reasonable wake up time lol. Just hook a baby alarm to her welping box and get some rest!

When we used to have horses, the 'old timers' used to trailer the pregnant mares and take them for a ride to stimulate labor - they swore by it. Try loading Rittie up in the car and go for a midnight cruise! lol
