Yesterday couldn't have come soon enough for me and it seemed to over in a blink but here are some pictures and a few memories that I had to share.

These beautiful pinky peach appritions were there to greet us when we arrived.

I've never held a warmer, more dear hand than this one. It belongs to Kakinga, a 450lb. silver back lowland gorilla.

The man himself....I have a new crush!

Who wouldn't be smitten....

MORE VVV - please wait until the end to keep pictures flowing.....tanks eh!

As a treat, we got to feed and give calcium to a few bats. They were so cute but very mischievous.

This little dude was bundled so tight. His wings were like fine leather.

This little mama is cradling a baby.

The LOVE to eat.

I'm in the midst of reading this book about the first chimpanzee that was taught to speak with ASL and they go on and on about how the great apes and humans aren't very far apart evolutionarily speaking...and those pictures of Kakinga prove it. VERY human emotional eyes!

The bats look like winged meerkats!

*waits for more*
