Well then in that case, I am finally not ashamed to admit that I don't know what the H you guys are talking about either--when you talk puppy breath. I mean I had Tosca at nine weeks. She did breathe and have breath but I didn't get all excited about it.

It's just puppy breath. It's something innately puppy, and sadly it goes away after they stop being little bitty puppies. so it's enjoyable just because you know it means your puppy is still a baby puppy.

Puppy breath is just so specific and universal.....and sweet!

I spend every Sunday emersed in the wonderfully pungent aroma and no matter if it's a maltese or a mastiff, it all smells the same........unless they just ate POOP!:yikes:

LOL! Well, Doc, I can tell you it's REALLY different after they've eaten gloppy, milky, new calf poop

I am right there with you BP. I totally flip for puppy breath, the younger the pup the sweeter the aroma! You just can't pin point the smell to someone, It would be like trying to describe a 'summer morning after the rain' smell to someone who has never been outside.

My hubby don't get it either :( But then again he always called me a weirdo when I would take the babies socks off, kiss and sniff their little feet & toes.....it is just a mom thing I guess :)

(if they could bottle the puppy breath and sell it as a cologne for men........purrrrrrrrr and yowza!)

Doc, just right click on that baby and save it and it's all yours.

Jess: Like me, you must be so ashamed.:p

I am ashamed

The next time I see puppies, Im going to go up to the owners and say

Hello, can I smell your puppies breath...

and then they are going to get on some forum and say, "Guess what happened with fluffy today at Petsmart"

Some Crazy lady wanted to smell his breath..

Ripley had puppy breath for a couple weeks after I got him. Dakota didn't have it at all. Eve only had it when she'd been sleeping.

It's hard to describe what it smells like. It's not particularly pleasant but I like it because it always makes me think of puppies. :D

Remember when puppy breath is gone, all h#ll breaks loose in the house and you deal with real training. Oh I miss Jake as a little itty bitty puppy.
